Horry County Schools (HCS) is a public school district serving Horry County, South Carolina, and is the third-largest school district in South Carolina. It serves over 45,000 students (as of the 2018–19 school year) in 56 schools (as well as offering additional education programs). The district office is located in Conway, South Carolina .
The present campus is about a mile away, across the road from the old building site. It retained the name of the former school after lobbying by alumni. It first opened for freshmen and sophomore students from neighboring overcrowded schools. It added a grade level for the two subsequent years and graduated its first senior class in 2002.

Cummings High School (commonly known as Cummings High School) [1] is a public high school serving grades 9–12 in Burlington, North Carolina, and is a part of the Alamance-Burlington School System. The school opened in 1970 and serves the east side of the city. The school is currently a part of the Mid-State 2A conference.
