Chan Sarun (brother) Haing Somnang Ngor (Khmer: ហាំង សំណាង ង៉ោ; March 22, 1940 – February 25, 1996) was a Cambodian-born American actor. He won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Dith Pran in the biographical drama film The Killing Fields (1984). He was murdered in Los Angeles in 1996.

At the 57th Academy Awards it received seven Oscar nominations, including Best Picture; it won three, most notably Best Supporting Actor for Haing S. Ngor, who had no previous acting experience, as well as Best Cinematography and Best Editing.
