[1] Founded in 1837, it serves portions of Livonia, Farmington Hills, and Redford. [2] [3] As of 2006, the district has approximately 1940 students, 271 teachers/staff and 10 bus drivers.
The present Livonia High School was established in Livonia in 1915. The following year, 1916, this school was combined to also include all of the students from Valverda and Dreyfus schools. The present Livonia High building was built in 1936. It was originally a two-story brick building. The second floor was lost to a fire in 1971.
