Hilight the people soft part of the url and just re enter the link address. Once you see this page, remove the extra words after nsips.navy.mil/ and hit enter. That works for me all the time. You can also delete the url all the way to the / and hit enter. I simply copy and pasted the URL up until .mil.
I've never had an issue getting on nsips before. I haven't changed anything. Same laptop I've used before; tried chrome & edge.
Look at the URL for the peopleaoft page and delete the extra fluff until it's just the NSIPS page. You should just be able to click the login button and it'll bring you to the NSIPS homepage. Google nsips, that works for me. In the url, delete everything after .mil and it’ll pop up. Solution:

This is very common. Close out the search browser you are on and start the process again. If that doesn’t work try the same thing on different browser. If that doesn’t work restart the computer. If that doesn’t work toss the computer overboard. Almost every single time. I just accepted that it’s part of the login process.
If your nsips afloat server is not transferring data to shore and shore is not transferring to your afloat then your ITs need to remote into it and restart those services. If they don't know how to do that they can call the nsips help desk and they will walk them through doing it.
