Thái Nguyên (Vietnamese: [tʰaːj˧˦ ŋwiən˧˧] ⓘ) is a province in the Northeast region of Vietnam. It is a mountainous, midland province with a natural land area of 3,521.96 km 2 (1,359.84 sq mi) [1] and a population of 1,350,345 as of 2023, with 445,505 people in urban areas and 904,849 people in rural areas.
