The Dallas Independent School District (Dallas ISD or DISD) is a school district based in Dallas, Texas (USA). It operates schools in much of Dallas County and is the second-largest school district in Texas and the seventeenth-largest in the United States. It is also known as Dallas Public Schools (DPS).
Kennedy-Curry Middle School is in South Dallas, and serves, in addition to sections of Dallas, Wilmer, almost all of Hutchins, and a small section of Lancaster. [24][29] It opened in fall 1968 as a part of the Wilmer-Hutchins Independent School District (WHISD). [30] It closed in 2005 due to the closure of WHISD.
Seagoville High School serves the DISD portion of the city of Seagoville, as well as small parts of Dallas (including Kleberg) and the DISD portion of the city of Combine. The community of Wright Farms, [5] located in Dallas, is assigned to Seagoville High School. In 2015, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency. [6]
