Wilkes College became Wilkes University in December 1989, and the school officially received university status a month later, in January 1990. [ 8 ] [ 14 ] Wilkes University opened the School of Pharmacy in 1996, [ 17 ] and in 1999, through a donation from Mrs. Geraldine Nesbitt Orr, the Nesbitt School of Pharmacy was established.
Built circa 1841, and is a two-and-one-half-story, rectangular brick building that was designed in the Greek Revival style. It was renovated in 1863, creating its present appearance. Built as the McClintock family residence, it was used as such into the 1950s, after which it was acquired by Wilkes College and used as a residence hall. [ 2]

Catlin Hall, also known as George Catlin Hall and Reynolds House, is a historic dormitory located on the campus of Wilkes University at Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1843, and is a 2 1/2-story, rectangular brick building in the Greek Revival style. It has a two-story rear wing.
