Westland, Michigan. / 42.32417°N 83.40028°W / 42.32417; -83.40028. Westland is a city in Wayne County in the U.S. state of Michigan. A western suburb of Detroit, Westland is located about 18 miles (29 km) west of downtown Detroit. As of 2022, the city had a population of 84,037.
Westland District covers 11,827.86 km 2 (4,566.76 sq mi) and had an estimated population of 8,940 as of June 2023, with a population density of 0.76 people per km 2. The district is the most sparsely populated of New Zealand's 67 territorial authorities.
Westland Center was developed by J.L. Hudson Corporation. It was designed by Victor Gruen Associates and Louis G. Redstone Associates. Westland Center played a role in local history. During the early 1960s, the city of Livonia planned to annex the part of Nankin Township in which the mall was to be built.
