If you’re remodeling your kitchen or just need to replace your range, an induction stove can transform your cooking space. Induction cooktops and ranges are not only super-popular right now but also safer and more energy-efficient than gas and traditional electric options. While there are plenty of pros to an induction appliance, there are cons to consider, too, such as the fact that the cooking experience is different, you’ll need induction-safe cookware, and it can cost more, especially if you’re switching from a gas stove.
Thankfully, the higher cost of these ranges and cooktops can be offset by credits from the Inflation Reduction Act that may qualify you for up to $840 in rebates. And you can save even more by choosing a model that’s on sale. Consumer Reports has scoured the internet for deals and discounts on the models we’ve tested to help you find a great appliance at a great price.
Looking for more than a new range or cooktop? The sleek slide-in LG LSE4616ST range offers a great blend of stylish looks, features, and performance at a price that’s still below that of some competing models. Performance is strong across the board, with excellent ratings for high heat, baking, broiling, and oven capacity. You’ll find two high-power heating elements, convection, and WiFi connectivity, too.
Why it’s a good deal: A $700 discount is nearly a quarter off the original price.
The Frigidaire Gallery GCRI3058AF is one of the least expensive induction ranges you’ll find. Its four elements perform every bit as well as models three times the price. They’re fast to heat, yet also deftly hold a simmer, gently melting chocolate without scorching and without constant adjustments to the burner. The oven bakes and broils evenly and is quite roomy. What you won’t find on this lower-priced model are specialty baking settings (such as those used for proofing bread) and helpful features like a warming zone on the cooktop.
Why it’s a good deal: This is already one of the most budget-friendly induction ranges available, and you’re saving even more on top of that by getting it on sale.
This 30-inch Frigidaire cooktop cooks as well as models costing three times as much, earning top marks for both low-heat and high-heat performance. As a brand, Frigidaire earned midlevel marks for reliability, according to data analyzed from our member surveys.
Why it’s a good deal: This is already one of the more budget-friendly induction cooktops CR has tested, so the steep discount at Amazon right now is especially appealing.
The 36-inch Frigidaire Professional FPIC3677RF cooktop is Frigidaire’s nod to pro-style design. Unlike the company’s more modestly priced options, including the cooktop above, this model features chunky, stainless steel knobs and more visible metal, giving it a slightly industrial look. Like Frigidaire’s other offerings, this cooktop earns stellar marks on low and high heat, as well as satisfactory scores for predicted reliability.
Why it’s a good deal: Appliances Connection is advertising the same price as most of the other retailers listed here, but the retailer is also offering a $300 mail-in rebate to drop the price below $2,000. So you won’t get the full savings right away, but once you get that money back, it’s a great savings.
The 36-inch Frigidaire FFIC3626TB cooktop features a smooth glass surface and all-digital controls for a completely seamless, modern look. Performance is strong across the board, with excellent ratings for low and high heat. This model costs significantly less than many other 36-inch induction cooktops—even those with worse performance. As a brand, Frigidaire earned a satisfactory rating for predicted reliability of its induction cooktops.
Why it’s a good deal: Originally, this cooktop cost $2,250, so this is a significant savings. This same model is listed at Amazon for $700, but it’s listed by a third-party seller, so we suggest avoiding that too-good-to-be-true price.
