Intermittently, when closing the microwave door it would break the circuit at the breaker box
Unplug microwave. Removed 2 screws from the top of the microwave to remove the top plastic strip carefully because the tabs can break off. Remove one screw above the control panel and one screw underneath the control panel. The control panel should come out. Take a picture of the wiring connections to help identify how to put it back together. Carefully disconnect each wire set using a needle nose plier if needed. There are 3 sets of wires that go to the 3 door switches. After the control panel is removed there are 2 or three screws to remove that hold the door latch mechanism. With the door open, entirely remove the latch mechanism. Pay attention to the 3 switches, one has a different number on it and the other two have the same number but differ by being normally closed and normally open. You can test them or just replace them. Note I ordered the 3 switches by part number but got 1 switch that was incorrect and was the same as the other one. There is a plastic tab that needs to be depressed at the bottom of the switch casing in order to get the switch out. The problem with my microwave ended up being the lever was worn visibly by door misalignment with the latch. One of the screws holding the latch in position was missing. The door was not consistently activating the lever and the bottom switch. Replaced the latch, lever and two of the 3 switches, even though they didn’t need it. Check door alignment with latch. Reassemble. Read more...

Replace door handle support
The door just lifts off of the Microwave and then I popped the plastic frame off of the inside of the door with a flat head screwdriver. Next I unscrewed the metal frame with a phillips screwdriver and then the old broken support. Once I put the new handle support on with the handle then just put the 2 frame parts back on & replace the door to the microwave. It's easy and there are youtube videos if you have a problem Read more...

Bosch Microwave MICROSWITCH
PartSelect Number PS8727790
Manufacturer Part Number 00614767
This microswitch, also known as a safety switch, is a genuine OEM replacement part for use in microwaves. It is a highly sensitive switch which responds to slight changes in pressure or position, and ensures that the microwave only operates when the door is shut. The switch can fail due to physical damage or electrical failure, resulting in difficulties closing the door, and turning on the appliance. To remove the faulty switch, disconnect the wiring connectors and take note of where they are positioned. Place the new switch in position and reattach the wiring connectors to the appropriate terminals and close the microwave door to check that the switch engages appropriately.

The porcelain tri piece the turntable sits on broke.
Pulled out the old piece after removing turntable and put new piece in. Then put turntable back on top.
It's a $9 part and I probably saved at least $200.

Bosch Microwave Micro Switch
★★★★★
★★★★★
12 Reviews
PartSelect Number PS3522738
Manufacturer Part Number 3B73362F
This microwave door switch provides power to the various components in the microwave when the door is in a closed position, and interrupts power when the door is open. This door switch is approximately 1 1/2 inches long, and has 2 metal prongs called terminals that extend from its body. If your microwave will not turn or heat properly, there could be an issue with the door switch. You can check the switch for continuity using a multi-meter. With the actuator button depressed, you should see continuity between these terminals. If there is no continuity the switch will need to be replaced. NOTE: Before you begin this repair, first make sure your microwave is unplugged, and that your capacitor is discharged. A capacitor stores large amounts of electricity even when your microwave is unplugged.

JAMES from BILLINGS, MT
Broken door micro switch. (unit does not start heating)
Unplug the unit before servicing. Need phillips screwdriver. Open door. Use step ladder to access and remove 2 small screws from top of the room air diffuser at top of unit. Slide diffuser slightly to the left to align the diffuser's plastic tab on the left side to rotate toward you. (The wires for the front control panel are at the far left side of this difuser, but difuser is slotted for easy removal). Once the difuser is removed you will see 1 screw at the top that secures the pannel cover on the left side of the unit. Remove screw and slide this panel slightly up and out. This exposes the plastic frame that holds the upper and lower door switches. To locate the door switches and observe how they work, close and open the door and watch the door (bayonets) open and close the micro switches. Do the (red) buttons on top of the switches move up and down when the door bayonets push and release? If the buttons do not "pop" up when opened the switch is defective. The switch frame is secured with 2 screws. Remove screws and rotate the unit out for easy access to the micro switch(s). The internal (spring?) on my unit that is suposed to allow the red (visible) button on top of the switch to "pop" up when the door is opened was broken. Carefully pry the switch outward while being careful to lift the plastic holder-piece that holds the switch in place. Be careful, there is a small pin on the frame, so rotate the switch OUT toward you while lifting (carefully) the plastic holder-piece (you will see it on top of the switch). You can use an ohm meter to test the continuity of the switches. But if the buttons don't "pop" they are defective. Replace switch and reassemble. Read more...
