Experience in single stage and base coat/clear coat finishes is required. Dependability and ability to adapt are necessary for the right candidate. Position is full time and paid hourly. Prior employment references are required. Job ResponsibilitiesMaintain a high level of production to meet center goals of 8+ vehicles per day. Adhere to MAACO’s Quality Standards for finished work. Control costs by utilizing time and materials efficiently, with little or no paint materials waste, and at a cost of less than 20% of paint sales. Maintain clean and organized work areas, including the paint mixing room, spray booth, spray equipment, oven, etc. as described in MAACO’s procedures. Utilize all health and safety equipment, including the fresh air supplied respirator system. Adhere to all safety rules in dealing with hazardous materials. Make pre-booth quality checks of vehicles to be painted as defined by MAACO’s procedures. Be responsible for maintaining the booth, oven, spray equipment, and mixing equipment, etc. as defined by MAACO’s procedures. Be required to help in the Paintline to eliminate production jambs if needed. Assist in training and developing “back-up” painting personnel. Function as a member of the MAACO team. Perform compounding and polishing of finished jobs when necessary to remove dirt and/or paint defectsPerforms warranty and/or re-do work at no cost.
