Treatment modalities include individual, group and family therapy. Behavior modification and other techniques included where possible. Screening and evaluation of patients referred to the School-Based Health Center. Referrals: responsible for knowing community resources and their availability in meeting needs of patients. Home visits: treatment and evaluation are sometimes expedited by use of home visits and are made when necessary. Function as an advocate in negotiating with other institutions for patient services. Maintain professional competence by attendance at professional conferences, in-service seminars and other meetings as assigned. Evaluate care given in consultation with other team members and individual and peer supervision. Integrate mental health care with medical and social service care. Elmhurst Hospital Center is a 545-bed tertiary care facility and an ACS-verified level 1 trauma center in the ethnically diverse borough of Queens, NY. The Elmhurst Radiology team is a dedicated, knowledgeable and friendly group of radiologists, technologists, nurses and support staff. The department of radiology has 4 CT scanners, 1 MRI, and a new Siemens biplane interventional suite, which is a component of our new stroke program. Neuroradiologist responsibilities principally include interpreting diagnostic CT and MRI studies. Some interpretation of diagnostic radiography and body CT is also required, though this will represent a small portion of day-to-day activities. The position covers daytime shifts Monday-Friday. There is minimal call responsibility consisting of several Saturday and Sunday on-call shifts over the course of a year. Moonlighting opportunities are available on evenings and weekends.
