PRIMARY PURPOSE: We are looking for an experienced, talented individual to join our construction company as a Masonry Superintendent . This role involves coordinating construction activities at project sites, including overseeing manpower, subcontractors, budgets, schedules, plans, specifications, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. The Masonry Superintendent will serve as a liaison between field and office personnel, customers, and subcontractors. Our ideal candidate possesses significant professional experience in construction, with a focus on Masonry projects, and is willing to travel up to 2 hours to various sites. ROUTINE DUTIES: Develop and implement a construction schedule that is updated weekly. Create and maintain relationships with team members, subcontractors, customers, and employees. Plan, implement and manage construction tasks in accordance with priorities and goals. Manage daily crew layouts and updates. Must be able to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently for yourself and others. Manage a team of employees and multiple projects at one time. Supervises and coordinates activities on a job site, including manpower, ordering equipment and material within budgetary limitations, as well as prompt and accurate completion of various reports and paperwork. Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines. Run all correspondence through office manager and direct supervisor. Report to office manager and direct supervisor daily. Contributes & elaborates with preconstruction team to reach company’s goals. Reviews bid boards to find projects that align with companies’ services. Meet with foreman and review project before the start of construction and during. Ensure all jobsites are clean and organized throughout construction phases. Take and update photos of all jobs and phases. Adhere to relevant safety regulations. Manage and guide the use of machinery and equipment. Peacefully resolve any emerging problems and issues. Conduct Stretch and Flex each morning. Allocate and delegate responsibilities. Training required upon arrival includes obtaining OSHA 10-hour and OSHA 30 certifications, scaffolding safety training, First Aid certification, and build training. QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess excellent leadership and communication skills. Minimum of 3 years’ experience of Masonry field construction experience in supervisory capacity. Must have a valid and clean Ohio driver’s license. Ability to lift and carry materials weighing 50 to 100 lbs. climb up and down, carry tools and equipment; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. Experience with blueprint reading, masonry, and managing crews. Must be proficient in the use of iPad technology or willing to learn our system.
