Our International Foundation Year is our undergraduate preparation programme designed to develop your skills for degree study at the University of Sheffield. You will find a range of subject routes and study modules tailored to your degree choice.
The Pre-Masters programme is an intensive 1.5 or 2 semester programme. It includes specialist academic modules, skills development and English language classes that prepare you for your taught masters degree.

"A huge thing I think international people get from the College is our main group of friends. We have the same classes, we are all in a new country with a new language and new people. We have that bonding. Then that just continues on in life after university."

"Being a Sheffield student, it's endless opportunities and facilities for you. Our Students' Union (SU) is really great. There's a lot of cafes and study areas around the SU and the libraries are also really nice. I like Western Bank and The Diamond, particularly. I'm in the law society and the Malaysian and Singaporean society. I think we have over a hundred societies at least in the university."

"I'm a big foodie, so I thought food would be a big problem. Coming here, seeing the variety of restaurants that make me really happy and especially the nature, it [Sheffield] is really photogenic. Everywhere I go I can whip out my phone and take a few pictures and I'm pretty sure there'll be a nice view somewhere."
