Filed under: Yachts & Sailing, Auctions

Dave Ritchie, co-founder of Vancouver-based Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, is proving just how much be believes in his own company by selling his 220-foot luxury megayacht, Apoise at a Ritchie Bros. auction in Grand Cayman on March 30. The Apoise, the world's 89th largest yacht, will be sold to the highest bidder on March 30th without reserve meaning that the highest bid gets it no matter what. The Lurssen yacht has room for 12 guests and 19 crew. Apoise cruises at 14 knots and there is an outdoor Jacuzzi on deck. Ritchie bought the yacht in 2006 when he retired as chairman of Ritchie Brothers. In a press release Ritchie said that he enjoyed cruising the world on the yacht but thinks it is now time to sell.
