Hublot F1 King Power Revealed During Chinese Grand Prix

After securing a lucrative merchandizing agreement with Formula One Management last month, Swiss watchmaker Hublot revealed the F1 King. But if its decidedly lackluster, monochromatic design didn't do it for you, this very well might.

Presented in Shanghai during this past weekend's Chinese Grand Prix, the F1 King Power is packed with racing-inspired design touches. Its ceramic bezel is designed after an F1 car's brake disc. The automatic chronograph movement's push-buttons are styled after the high-tech steering wheel on an F1 car. Even the wrist strap is made of fire-retardant Nomex, just like an F1 driver's racing suite. The case itself is made of satin-finish zirconium and affixed with PVD-coated titanium components, and features a 42-hour power reserve. The Hublot F1 King Power will only be made in limited quantities, so interested parties had better act fast.

Riedenschild Black Pearl Watch

German watch company Riedenschild opened their first U.S. sales office this month in New York. Riedenschild makes watches in limited editions of 299 or 999 units which are all assembled in Germany. The watches all have a two-year warranty and feature mirror polished backs. German designer Oliver Wolf is behind the simple and classic designs. Riedenschild isn't well known in the U.S yet but the company has plans to change that. The watch shown here is the Black Pearl which has a Swiss automatic movement with an 18K gold casing. It sells for $539.

Roger Dubuis Vintage Grand Prix Collection Watches

At SIHH in Geneva Roger Dubuis showed off their limited edition Vintage Grand Prix Collection. There will be 28 pieces in both a GoldenSquare case and an Hommage Sympathie case. The selling feature of these two gold watches are their enameled dials with vintage racing motifs. Like other Dubuis watches, it's more fun than fierce as opposed to other racing-themed watches we've seen lately.
