Vintner's Cellar, Winemaking Goes Franchise
There are services like Crushpad and other winemaking experiences but personal winemaking is now getting the franchise treatment. Vintner's Cellar is a franchise that is starting to open across the United States that lets people create and bottle their own wine. You start your batch in the store and then come back in six to eight weeks to bottle and label your wine. For around $125 a customer can have a wine tasting party to choose the wine they want to make. The price also includes a case of wine. So far there are 28 franchises across the U.S. that are either open or set to open soon. Vinter's Cellar isn't out to offer you the true custom experience from grape to glass but it does offer a taste of the hands-on winemaking experience to those that live far from the vineyards.[via The Ledger]
