Champagne in the City Tastings

Spring in London just got a little sweeter. The Wine & Food Academy, a school which offers wine education, tours and courses in "cooking and quaffing" is now offering Champagne In The City, a series of Champagne tastings upstairs at Jamies Bar. The tastings feature samples from the major Champagne houses hosted by Chris Hambleton the Wine & Food Academy's expert on Champagne. The first event is on May 3 and the tasting costs £69 and includes supper.

The Wine School of Philadelphia

Those in the Philadelphia area can get an in-depth oenological education from The Wine School of Philadelphia. The school offers both beginner level wine basics classes aimed at wine consumers who want to know more, all the way up to the Masters Program which is by invitation only and results in a Master of Vinology certificate. They also host private wine events and offer wine travel program at their wine school campus in Provence, France. Their website has a blog, Wine Lust, that rounds up wine information. The The Accelerated Foundation Certification Program runs four wine-heavy days and costs $425.
