Williams Formula One Racing Team Offered on Frankfurt Stock Exchange

Have you ever wanted to own an Formula One team? Usually that would cost you millions upon millions of dollars, the kind of cash that only an automaker (like Ferrari or Mercedes-Benz) or an incredibly wealthy individual (like Richard Branson or Vijay Mallya) could afford. But the Williams F1 team is offering an unprecedented opportunity to get in on the ground floor.

For the first time in F1 history, the team will offer publicly-traded shares on the open stock market – in this case the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. It's part of an effort to raise capital and ensure the team's future as its leadership – Frank Williams and Patrick Head – are growing older.

Although the team has nine world championships to its name, these days it's having trouble keeping up with the competition.

Crystal Bottle Stoppers from Williams Sonoma

I love elegance with a more casual tone, so to me crystal always looks its best when it's kept extremely simple. With only a few decorative marks, these Crystal Bottle Stoppers from Williams Sonoma will top your liquor and wine bottles in glistening but basic style. The geometric shapes and sharp lines give them a slightly masculine air, although depending on the environment that could change (and it could just be me!).

Cut and shaped by hand from solid crystal, they're polished to a high shine and available in sets of 3 for $98. Just be aware that if you're planning to use them frequently absolutely every fingerprint will be obvious on the ultra-clear surfaces.

The Node Bowl

Designed by Kevin Williams for the Brooklyn design house CAKE, the Node bowl is just as happy in your kitchen as it is being displayed as a simple sculpture. And call me practical, but it actually looks like a great place to keep fruits and vegetables, because I like a bowl stacked high and the spaces will let the pieces on the bottom breathe. But of course filling it up interferes with the "light and shadow effect" the artist was going for, so maybe just one or two pieces, like in the photo, would be better. Anyway, it's made of ceramic, and is available in white only. Measures 3.5"D x 11.75"Diam, $50.
