You just might want to spend the whole summer in the beauty shown above. There's nothing spartan about the Spartan Daybed from Restoration Hardware, it's perfect for an afternoon of lazy indulgence. The daybed designed by Neoteric Luxury has a steel frame wrapped in handwoven all-weather wicker that lets in the breezes while offering a little bit of filtered sun protection. A 5-inch thick bed cushion is sold separately. It sells for $6,000.

Chanel Bocce Ball Set for Summer

In time for the lazy days of summer, Chanel is offering a vintage-inspired bocce ball set in a braided wicker and leather case. The set, priced at about at about $2,800, includes eight stainless steel bocce balls engraved with the Chanel logos and a wooden "jack" or target ball. The case is finished in two-tone brown and natural woven wicker with Chanel's trademark interlocking C's done in braided rope on top, and brown saddle leather straps and handle. The set resembles a vintage picnic case and is no doubt meant to be used on the lawn of a gracious country house. Given that Chanel is a French fashion house we're not sure why this isn't called a Pétanque set, but there you have it. Meanwhile, British model-turned-TV star Alexa Chung, who has gotten her hands on one of the sets in advance of their public offering, has been using the stylish case as a handbag.

The last Kate Spade bag we saw featured here was the wicker Margherita Box Basket, and the designer has more wicker options for us this summer. The Havana Wicker Clutch combines the inescapably summery look of wicker with the summer's hottest trend of bags with a metallic sheen. Gold plastic, made to look like wicker, is woven between white pieces, resulting in a bag that is glamorous enough for evening use and with an appealing sunkissed look that would not be out of place on the boardwalk. Montecito Chaise

Most furniture companies are now releasing their lines of outdoor furniture for spring/summer, and this chaise lounge from Room & Board is one of the more original pieces I've seen. Wicker makes the chaise (called the Montecito) classic-looking, while the teak wheels and aluminum base lend a modern feel. According to the company's web site, there's also a storage compartment beneath the backrest. Price: $1,599.
