Wastecan i-Master Wesco, Automated Trash Technology
I was pretty intrigued by the Wastecan i-Master Wesco making the rounds of the gadgety blogs lately. Infrared sensors are everywhere these days, turning on lights and flushing toilets so why not one that helps you take out the trash by sensing your approach and lifting the lid. The can sells for around $430. Pretty pricey. But a comment on the trashcan on Gizmodo directed me to another trashcan at Target that also uses infrared technology and sells for around $100. Admittedly the Wastecan i-Master Wesco is a touch cuter and does come in fashion colors but on the list of places where I put my money trashcans are pretty low down on the list. [via I4U News]
