Intended to "encapsulate the bottle with warmth" and surround it with light, Rashid drew his inspiration from a random brainstorming scribble and the idea of a purse or handbag. It serves 3 functions by cooling the champagne, lighting the champagne, and serving as a way to carry the champagne. $4000

Veuve Clicquot Vertical Limit

Veuve Clicquot has a tradition of pairing up with designers for unique editions but their new partnership with Porsche Design Studio has created something truly extraordinary. Vertical Limit is a stainless steel cellar tower of superb design that is over six feet tall, and holds 12 magnums of Clicquot's vintages in bottle shaped compartments. Vertical Limit's temperature is set at the perfect temperature for tasting. There are just 15 of these available worldwide and you can check out the only two of them in the United States at the Porsche Design Stores in New York and Los Angeles during the month of November. Each cellar sells for $70,000.

Dress Your Champagne in Pucci

'Tis the season for sexy ways to tote your wine. While yesterday's Ecco Domani bags seemed a pretty fancy way to carry around a $7-10 bottle of wine, today's wine and wine bag are equally matched. Pucci and Veuve Clicquot have partnered up on a bottle of 1996 Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame wrapped up in a two-part ensemble. For carrying, there is a drawstring bag that bears a typically ebullient Pucci print. Inside, the bottle is dressed is a black sleeve with a Pucci swirl that will keep the champers cool for another two hours. The bottle sells for $199.

And the Oscar swagfest begins... Estee Lauder has announced their 2006 Estee Lauder Luxury Beauty Spa Experience for nominees to indulge, relax and prepare for their big night with a spa experience. The Estee Lauder "Dream Team" will travel to each nominee and let them choose a customized spa day. Those in need of a little boost can check out the Perfectionist Power Facial by Dr. Jay Calvert which includes a light laser procedure and then a Power Patch placed on the area around the eye for 20 minutes. And for sunless tan addicts (like Charlize Theron) there is new Winning Glow Tanning Treatment which provides a full face and body exfoliation and bronzing with Estee Lauder's sunless tanners. Bankers Drink London Dry

Ever since the story last year of a banker who covered a room of a London club in champagne, we've known that London, bankers, and champagne can be a dangerous combination. Now, according to Decanter, those nutty bankers have been drinking enough to cause shortages of the bubbly. Bankers partying up after their bonus checks have caused a shortage of Dom Pérignon jeroboams (bottles that are four times the size of a normal one). The methuselahs (eight bottles worth) are still holding up. Bonus season is also good for Veuve Clicquot, Corney & Barrow, which runs 12 wine bars, reports that magnums of Veuve are top sellers.
