Martini Gold by Dolce & Gabbana

Filed under: Spirits, Wine, Celebrity Design

There are dozens if not hundreds of names that endeavor to epitomize Italian style, but few stand out in their respective fields like Martini and Dolce & Gabbana. The two lifestyle powerhouses have a longstanding relationship stretching back over a decade, and have now teamed up to launch the new Martini Gold by Dolce & Gabbana.

The special edition vermouth is based on the existing fortified wine fielded by the famous conveyer of spirits, but with a unique recipe inspired by the fashion duo. The elixir comes in a special bottle – guess what color – in special packaging bearing the name of the two collaborative forces.

Martini & Rossi Launches Sparkling Rosé

Martini & Rossi, the Italian winemaker founded in 1863 and famous for its iconic vermouth, has launched a new sparkling rosé in time for summer.

Cultivated in the finest growing areas of the Piedmont and Veneto regions in Italy, it's made with handpicked Moscato Bianco, Malvasia and Brachetto grapes.

Light, crisp and aromatic with hints of citrus, elderflower and soft peach, it's a relatively inexpensive way to add a touch of luxury to summer cocktails and al fresco dining.

Available in a 750 ml bottle and 187 ml 4-packs, the new rosé completes Martini & Rossi's "sparkling trio," which includes a naturally sweet Asti and an extra dry Prosecco.

The $3,000 Martini

The Bombay Sapphire Martini at Foxwoods Resort and Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut is for anyone with rich tastes - specifically with a taste for diamonds. The $3,000 drink is made with Bombay Sapphire Gin, Blue Curacao and a splash of dry vermouth, served in a glass rimmed with blue sugar crystals and garnished with custom-made blue sapphire and diamond earrings atop a sterling silver pick. Some are describing it as "pure decadence in a glass," but the Algonquin's $10,000 martini still probably has the edge in the decadence department if your criteria is based on price and the size of the stones that come with the drink.
