Trapper Peak Ranch, Estate of the Day

Another of Montana's beautiful huge ranches has hit the market. Trapper Peak ranch is named for the Trapper Peak mountain which is visible from this 785-acre spread. The ranch belongs to Douglass Smith and Sandra Lloyd, venture capitalists and arts supporters from San Francisco. The property has a new main log lodge that has over 6,000 square feet of space, an updated guest house, luxury bunkhouse, caretaker home, two barns, a shop, swimming pool and other outbuildings. The massive log home has stone fireplaces, an antler chandelier and lots of rustic furniture. Plenty of wildlife including an elk and deer herd and wild turkeys roam the property. There is also a fish pond. This property is listed at $14.95 million with Hall & Hall.
