Relax and Restyle With The Four Seasons Palm Beach and Tory Burch

The Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach in Palm Beach, Florida recently finalized a two-year, multi-million dollar renovation which included a complete room redesign, added a luxurious salon and spa and upgraded the pool terrace. To celebrate, the resort is offering guests a chance to indulge in a little personal restyling of their own by partnering with Tory Burch to offer a gift of up to $500.

Canadian interior designer Brian Gluckstein is responsible for a total makeover of the rooms at Four Seasons Palm Beach. Gluckstein, who designed the new spa in 2009, used a similar palette of muted sea-glass colors and custom furniture to give the new rooms a modern comfortable beach house feel that perfectly frames the hotel's stunning ocean views. The area surrounding the resort's swimming pool has been re-tiled with Egyptian Sunny Gold limestone and new lounges upholstered in lime green and accented by brown pillows were added.

Tory Burch Opens Flagship Boutique on New Bond Street in London

Fashion house Tory Burch has opened a new boutique on New Bond Street in London.

The 4200-square-foot London flagship is located at 149 New Bond Street. The boutique resides in a 19th Century townhouse, and the interior has a corresponding residential feel. The first floor features company signatures like moss green floors, gold leaf mirrors, plum snow leopard curtains and orange lacquer details. It also includes unique residential elements like Imari vases, a regency shell chair and a George II claw foot side table.

The space has interesting structural details throughout, including a tented ceiling with a skylight. The second floor includes a living room for VIPs and special events as well as a library to relax in or to feature special collections. There are additional residential pieces upstairs including a knole sofa, raffia rug and plum and ivory diamond upholstery-all elements meant to make the customer feel at home.

Tory Burch's Pre-Fall 2011 Collection Preview

Luxist was invited to the Tory Burch showroom at the designer's Manhattan headquarters yesterday to preview her "Pre-Fall" 2011 collection.

In designing the collection, Burch was inspired by Parisian chic with global influences. The collection includes texture and prints mixed together. There are stripes, florals, ikat and a heart motif found throughout the line from the dresses to the blouses, jackets and shorts. The color palette of neutrals, navy, white, and pops of red, ties the looks together.

The Pre-Fall line features fluid dresses, wrap dresses, sweater dresses and lightweight blouses as well as cropped tailored pants (as seen above) and a beautiful trench coat with a detachable shearling collar. The suede collection, which includes dresses and jackets, are especially impressive, and look sharp when layered. For example, a suede short-sleeved dress is paired with a short sleeved striped blouse, with only the blouse's sleeves and collar showing.

Indeed, everything is meant to be layered, as it is a theme found throughout much of the collection. This was done to make the pieces easy to wear in the summer and then into the fall.

Tory Burch Travel Socks - No More Barefooting Through TSA

It's disgusting, really. Despite paying outrageous prices for airfare, your luxury trip always includes padding in stockings or -- ew -- bare feet through TSA. Tory Burch, after gauging demand on Twitter, has invented a solution: Tory Burch Travel Socks. And they're pretty cute. Let's have a look and see if these are practical or just a gimmick.

It's certainly fun to open the bag. Like a care package on an international flight, the Tory Burch Travel Socks come in a neat little pouch, about 5" by 5", with a small, weighty goldtone clip, toggle and signature dangle. Would it be a pain to bring this pouch along on a flight? No. It squashes pretty flat, and if your carry-on is truly stuffed to the gills, you can just clip it to the strap.

Jamee Gregory's newly released book, New York Parties: Private Views (Rizzoli New York, 2010) takes the reader on a spectacular journey to affairs hosted by the entertaining expert's closest friends, which include some of New York's leading arbiters of style from the worlds of fashion, design, food, society and philanthropy. The 208-page book is filled with 300 spectacular color photographs taken by Eric Striffler and ably provides a wealth of information for anyone wanting to host their own glamorous affair.

"I've been very lucky in New York to have such terrific and interesting friends," the elegant and statuesque Gregory told Luxist at the book party thrown in her honor by Jay McLaughlin at his J. McLaughlin boutique on Madison Avenue in New York on December 8. "It seemed to me that they put so much of themselves into the entertaining, that every party was like a theatrical performance and they were the producer."

12 Chic Capes for the Fall

Capes seem to be everywhere this season. They serve well as chic transitional outwear for chilly weather without unnecessarily committing to a bulky, blizzard-ready winter jacket.

After browsing through an abundance of styles, it was a pleasant surprise to find capes that are laid back and casual as well as super luxurious and elegant. The choices are endless matching whatever occasion you may encounter.

Given a cape's voluminous silhouette, add balance by pairing with slim fitting trousers or even jeans and viola - you have yourself a stylish and on trend outfit with little effort.

Initially, I would suggest wearing heels to add height and avoid looking frumpy, but when I came across Gryphon's Sherlock Cape ($595) - featured to the right - I was actually surprised how well it works even with the most casual of outfits. What a great look for cool fall days while you're out and about.

Neiman Marcus Christmas Book Fantasy Gifts 2010

It's here! Neiman Marcus has unveiled the fantasy offerings in its always eagerly anticipated Christmas Book. This year's offerings include a Tequila Avion private party by Colin Cowie, a Dale Chihuly pool installation, a gourd ukulele handmade by Danny Ferrington, and a limited edition Leica M9 camera. This year's featured car is the 2011 Neiman Marcus Edition Camaro Convertible. The Christmas book began in 1926 as a 16-page booklet initially intended as a Christmas card to the store's best customers.

The 2010 Christmas Book marks the 50th anniversary of the legendary His and Hers fantasy gifts. To celebrate Neiman Marcus is selling a one-of-a-kind precious jewelry charm bracelet as one of this year's fantasy gifts. Each charm represents a memorable His and Hers gift from years past, including an airplane, a Chinese Junk, a hot air balloon, a camel, a sarcophagus, a Buffalo calf, a windmill, an ostrich, a Shar-Pei puppy, a robot, and a vintage motorcycle. Stanley Marcus debuted the His and Hers gift in 1960 with matching Beechcraft airplanes that cost $176,000. This years His and Hers gift is the MetroShip Houseboat costing $250,000.

This year is the first time customers may access the Christmas Book on Apple's iPad via the "NM Editions" app. When in Wi-Fi hot spots, customers can place orders directly from the iPad viewer. More details in the gallery below and in the video after the jump.

Thought I'd highlight a nice, calming day bag today and this Dayton Messenger Satchel by Tory Burch is certainly one of those. Chocolate grained leather and gold hardware are the prominent features, with some mixed layers and textures giving a little extra spice to the overall look. It features double detachable top handles as well as a removable shoulder/crossbody strap, a flap-over front with buckle fastening closure, and an exceptionally roomy interior lined in taupe twill and featuring plenty of pockets. Kanye West Attends Tory Burch Fashion Show

Tory Burch's show at New York Fashion Week on Wednesday evoked the endless summer feel of California casual. In attendance was Kanye West, who wore a brilliant pink blazer that clashed deliciously with all the orange on the runway (and on Ms. Burch). Burch's line of infinitely wearable elegant clothes even included a version of the surfer's favorite Baja pullover. Other pieces in the show included shirtdresses and flowing skirts in cheerful, bright shades. Check out the show and an appearance from Kanye West in the video from Vidicom above.
