Stefano Ricci Crystal Tie

Crystals are frequently added as accents on women's clothes and handbags, especially during the winter when dark colors need a bit of flash to dress them up. Designer Stefano Ricci decided to apply the same principle to some of his ties. He added swirls of tiny Swarovski crystals to this Italian Silk Formal Tie. Designed by Sovereign Beck, a New York-based pair of designers, Perspective Ties are a lovely variation on a traditional striped tie. The ties come in navy and asphalt gray and feature cleverly spaced lines that create a horizon just in the center of the tie. Father's Day started in 1910 and though there is no record of when the tradition of giving Dad a tie began, they are the quintessential father's day gift. Unfortunately, the more popular ties were as a gift, the less attractive they seemed to get and before long, father's seemed to dread getting "another ugly tie" - as though they were often besieged with such ties.
