It's not as flamboyant as the Gumball 3000 but if you are interested in a little less mileage and a lot of fun you might want to check out the Classic Car Club Manhattan's first ever rally. The club is taking twenty cars including a new Ford GT, a 355 Ferrari Spyder, a '67 Chevelle Super Sport and a customized '68 Lincoln Continental (shown here) to Miami in a little jaunt they call the Rally to Hell. Celebrity participants will be Dan and Justin Hawkins from the band, The Darkness and TLC's Overhaulin' co-host Chris Jacobs. The rally starts on May 18 and lasts three days. The finale is in Miami on May 20 and the participants will catch a flight back to New York on the May 21.
The celebrity pilot trend continues. The latest person to take to the skies, is Justin Hawkins, the lead singer of The Darkness. Hawkins has been learning to fly a helicopter and plans to take himself to concerts on the band's British tour this month. He has become friends with a London instructor, who will co-pilot the chopper to gigs and he hopes to get his license pater this year. The singer, who is known for his theatric stage performances hopes to buy a helicopter to make a dramatic entrance to The Darkness' concerts.
