The CusinArt Resort Hosts The Bachelor

Monday night's episode of The Bachelor took Brad Womack and his bevy of beauties to the Caribbean island of Anguilla. As our sister site Gadling reported, the episode was filmed at the CuisinArt Resort (yes, from the same company that makes the food processor). As with other resorts chosen as sites for the show, the CuisinArt resort has created a special package for those who saw the show and want to create their own romantic getaway, albeit hopefully without the fierce fighting for "one-on-one" dates.

Cruise With Hunky Reality TV Cast-offs

Want to frolic on the high seas with a reality television star? No, they aren't bringing back Love Cruise but fans of The Bachelor and Bachelorette television shows can cruise with Jesse Csinsak and other "reality guys" to be named later on his third reunion cruise which sets sail on January 2011. Csinsak talked with Radar Online saying that the cruises always feature beautiful people, lots of liquor and great food (all the alcohol is included, so you can get just as obnoxious as if you were actually on one of the shows). The trip is a Royal Caribbean cruise to Belize leaving from Miami, Florida. Rates start at $1,299 for an interior stateroom. More details are available on JesseandFriends.com. Reality television stars seem to be a popular gimmick for booking cruises, the Food Network also has a cruise planned with some of its popular chefs including Cat Cora.

Bachelor Curse Strikes Again

The Bachelor curse strikes again. After the Frisky reported yesterday that Bachelor Jake's fiancée, Vienna Girardi was spotted at a beach party getting cosy with "Greek" cast member Gregory Michael in the VIP area today comes news that the couple have split. No reasons have been given for the split and the reality television stars are asking for the public to respect their privacy. TMZ says Jake initiated the split. The reality television show is popular with fans but has a terrible track record for making lasting matches.

No word on who gets custody of the ring. Hollywood jewelry designer Neil Lane worked his usual magic providing a lovely princess-cut diamond and platinum ring with 2.02 carat center stone surrounded by 70 diamonds. The ring was custom designed and signed by Lane and likely worth at least $25,000. That's a hell of a lovely parting gift. While providing the rings for the show seems like a good way to gather publicity, does it make a difference to the public if the rings end up symbolizing broken engagements rather than everlasting love?

UPDATE: TMZ reports that Vienna Girardi left the ring behind when she moved out of Jake's house. He doesn't get to keep it however. The production company that paid for it will get the ring back.
