Cavi Launches New Line at Surf Lodge in Montauk

Filed under: Apparel, Events, Charity, Sports, Men's Style

CAVI, the luxury menswear line known for its distinctive designs as worn by the likes of Jay-Z, Ne-Yo and 50 Cent, previewed its new surf-inspired CAVI Sport collection during a party at the Surf Lodge in Montauk on Aug. 7. The latest addition to the brand, which as we reported is also giving NASCAR a much needed makeover, consists of colorful and free-spirited board shorts, pima cotton tees, layered jackets, and hoodies. Real Housewives of New York City's Alex McCord and Simon Van Kempen were among the guests who were treated to complimentary cocktails and left the event with gift bags featuring swag from Blue Star Jets, Solstice Sunglass Boutique, and items from the CAVI Sportswear line. The following day, CAVI Sportswear Division partnered with the 11th Annual Rell Sunn Surf Memorial and East End Classics Foundation, Inc., to pay tribute to iconic surfer, Rell Sunn at Montauk's Ditch Plains Beach. The event, which benefits families with hardships on the East End, featured surfing contests, auctions, raffles, valuable prizes, and a great day of riding the waves.

Endless Wave Table

Filed under: Decor, Yachts & Sailing

Being the peak of summer it's also the peak of surfing season in most places, and for those who love the sport and just can't seem to get enough the answer might be to bring a surfboard into the house with you in the form of a coffee table. The "Endless Wave" is a table made of a real surfboard perched on top of a wave-shaped pedestal. It does, perhaps a little surprisingly, come across looking very classy and stylish. There are several color options available (or they can custom color one for you) and two different styles to choose from -- the Malibu and the Waikiki. $1800

$15,000 Kenny Scharf Surfboard

Filed under: Yachts & Sailing, Art

I have never surfed in my life but if I was rich enough I might consider buying this $15,000 surfboard because it's just so pretty! It's part of a collection that is the result of a collaboration between designer Elie Tahara and artist Kenny Scharf. I love the yellow and red color combo (the collection also comes in a scheme of seafoam green and purple) and the pattern is an interesting mix of floral, science, and space objects. The Kenny Scharf collection is available now exclusively in Elie Tahari's boutiques in Soho and East Hampton New York.

Evolution Surf Travel Set

The Evolution Surf Travel Set includes three different skin treatments that are supposed to help combat the damage that sun exposure does to the skin. Their "intense healing" is intended to benefit even skin that has been overexposed to sun, sea and sand - as it is for many surfers, hence the name. The set includes: Exfoliating Bamboo Microdermabrasion Scrub (1.7 oz.), Smoothing Glycolic Coconut Crème (1.7 oz.) and Healing Day & Night Nourishing Crème (1.7 oz.). We're sure that they don't recommend trying to damage your skin in the sun while using the products, but if they really work, it's a good excuse to go to the beach a bit more often. Price: $440.
