Christian Louboutin has gone biker with a hint of steampunk on this newest studded creation, the Morrigan Small Studded Leather Bag. We've seen stud-covered bags before but this one is unique with its rows of cylindrical silver hardware arranged in tight rows along the bottom and sides only, leaving the rectangular front and back clear. The body is textured black leather and features a metal logo on front and a single shoulder strap, zip top closure, a couple different pockets inside, and of course the usual signature red twill lining. $995

Blowing snow and whipping winds are just around the corner but not to worry, Burberry's new Winter Storms capsule collection has the stuff to help you toughen up this winter and look your best no matter what the weather does. Featuring something for everyone (men, women, children) the collection is heavy on black and marked by over-sized check patterns and metal studs in unlikely places (such as on the shoulder of a t-shirt or the underside of a jacket collar) that lend a certain punk air to otherwise conservative pieces. It's been awhile since I've picked a studded black leather handbag to feature but the trend is going strong as this Burberry beauty demonstrates. The Studded Leather Knight Bag will bring a strong dose of tough-girl chic to your travel wardrobe. Part of Burberry's "Winter Storms" line that puts a modern twist on classic pieces, this bag features a plethora (love it when I can use that word) of gunmetal studs, an attached buckle-fastening key fob, protective metal feet, double top handles, and an interior that features two large compartments with zip closure and a black and white lining in the signature Burberry check pattern. $2,195

DKNY Studded Leather Shoulder Bag, Handbag of the Day

The DKNY Studded Leather Shoulder Bag is great for those who love casual gold and browns. It's apparently inspired by the military but to me it looks much more celestial in nature. Golden studs in all sizes of round and pyramids dot every surface of the light brown leather exterior. It has a single adjustable top handle, a zip-top closure, two internal zip pockets, and a fun pop of color in the form of a purple twill lining. I wish it came in a silver version but it's a beautiful day bag nevertheless. $425

Giuseppe Zanotti Studded Sandals

Canvas gets a sexy upgrade in Giuseppe Zanotti's High Heeled Sandals ($512). Usually a material associated with sneakers and tote bags, it's refreshing to see canvas used in this way. The color choice is great since olive is a muted color tone that is complimentary to a number of outfits regardless of the color scheme.

While canvas lends itself to be casual, it's the addition of silver studs and 4 inch heels that are harmoniously brought together to create a pair of chic heeled sandals making them ideal for casual outfits when you still want height but you don't want to appear overdressed. They have a cross over foot strap and a zipper back so you don't have to try and squeeze your foot in when your putting them on.

Balmain Studded Military Blazer

The Balmain design house creates unapologetically bold clothing. Especially when it comes to their jackets. They are overly structured with exaggerated shoulders and adorned with pieces that look as though they can be found on window treatments - but it all works. And with famous stars like Rihanna and Beyonce having been photographed wearing Balmain jackets, Christophe Decarnin's designs have only increased in popularity. His designs look amazingly beautiful on the runway and on celebrities but may not always translate so easily into the real world. However, the Balmain Studded Military Jacket may be the exception. Made from cotton canvas, it's slightly tapered for a well tailored fit and beautifully decorated with silver studs and military patches along the along the front, sleeves, and lapel. And with such a star studded and eye catching jacket, the rest of your outfit could be understated, allowing the jacket to take center stage. Price: $6,225.

My favorite incarnation of studs yet, this Sonia by Sonia Rykiel Studded Canvas Shoulder Bag features large, silvertone pyramid studs on light gray cotton canvas in a haphazard arrangement. It has a zip pocket on the outside and four pockets on the inside (one zippered) along with a fun multi-colored animal print lining. Double top handles feature a little black grosgrain ribbon bow on one side that has a logo-stamped silvertone center. Open top, refreshing and comfortable 100% cotton, 17" x 16" x 17" measurements. $365

Marni Studded Leather Bag, Handbag of the Day

Studs continue to pop up everywhere, and although the concept remains the same designers are getting creative with the details. The Marni Studded Leather Bag has large, flat studs (like finely shined thumbtacks) lined up in rows over gray leather. Instead of the expected "biker chic" vibe that would normally come from a combination of studs and leather this bag seems much more girly with an almost contemporary feel. A delicate black ribbon goes around the middle of this messenger style bag and acts as a fastener to keep it closed while the fold-over flap also has a zip closure. The interior is lined in brown twill. $865

Crinkled bags aren't all that common but here's a nice one from Donna Karan. The Crosstown Studded Hobo is made of crinkled black nylon (gotta love that 'needs to be ironed' look) with smooth black calf leather trim and little silvertone stud details all around the edges. The front has a large fold-over flap and the back side has a zippered exterior pouch with trim and stud detailing. Single leather shoulder strap and 3 interior pockets. A great, casual way to fit biker chic and studs into your wardrobe this winter. $695

Punk Suede Studded Bag, Handbag of the Day

Studs really are popular this year, and this Punk Suede Studded Bag by Balmain is a perfect example. Suede is such a great fabric for the fall and winter and this time it gets a 'tough luxe' treatment with studs of varying size and color laid into the front flap in a dense, abstract design that kinda reminds me of animal print. There's an exterior pocket tucked under the front flap, and the interior of the bag features a full lining and zip-top closure. If you like it you better love it, as it's a bit pricey at $3,925.

Temperly London Shoulder Bag with Studs, Handbag of the Day

A pretty, structured bag in a nice shade of blue that's somewhere between navy and periwinkle, the studs are what really give this Temperly London design most of its personality. Small for a shoulder bag it's still big enough to hold essentials during the day while being small enough to transfer seamlessly into a casual evening scene. The bag is made of 100% leather except for the studs, hardware, and delicate ribbon detailing on the front flap in black and cream tones, and the entire thing hinges on a large bar that runs along the top. This Allen Medium Satchel by Halston looks like a smaller bag was eaten by a larger bag but put up a good fight. Slouchy black leather sides and straps (looks more like charcoal gray to me) combine with black suede side panels and silver stud details that look like a sprinkling of stars on a dark night sky. A very casual but chic style in classic colors and materials for a trendy look that doesn't scream too loud. Studded shoulder rest on the strap, a zip-top closure, and a matching lined interior with pocket round out the design. $2,195
