Perry Farrell In Venice, Estate of the Day
Filed under: Estates, Celebrity Shopping
Los Angles rocker Perry Farrell has always been a character. Whether he's fronting Jane's Addiction, Porno for Pyros or his Satellite Party band, in his decades-long career he's been famous for being a bit of a stylehound. So it makes sense that his Venice, California home is idiosyncratically Perry. The Farrell house was designed by Culver City architect Steven Ehrlich and packs a lot of style into a small footprint. The home is on a lot that is less than 5,500 square feet and the house itself is only around 2200 square feet. According to a 1999 LA Times article the home is a former California bungalow that was stripped to its foundation and re-imagined as a modern home befitting a globe-trotting rock star. The two-bedroom home has a barrel vault structure that runs the length on the house and gives it the look of a mini airplane hangar. There is also a rooftop terrace with a bar. A three-car garage can be used as studio space. The kitchen has an adjacent dining area with a table surrounded by wood benches and the entire dining/living space opens out to the lap pool. The bedrooms aren't particularly large and this home doesn't have the family space that Farrell and his wife Etty need for their two kids but it could make some up-and-coming actor or rock star very happy. This home is listed at $1.6 million with Allyson Carter.
