Pavé Diamond Dog Tag

Sometimes guys want a little bling too, you know? But it's hard to find that right balance of flash and masculinity, and although I'm not claiming this Pavé Diamond Dog Tag by David Yurman does the trick (it's all about personal preference and I'm not even a guy) the mix of pave diamonds and dog tag style seems to at least be in the right ballpark. It has a total of 1.15 carats total with a sterling silver logo, cable trim, "925" inlay, and a sterling silver chain pulling the whole thing together. Available at Neiman Marcus for $1,950.

Hand Forged Silver Tea Spoon

Next time you're sitting down for tea or coffee (like I am right now!) take a good look at the spoon you're using. Does it have much character? Individuality? Is it making the whole experience a little better just because it's there? Ha, that last one might be pushing it a little, but the point is that good silverware can really increase the "luxe" factor of any meal or dining experience.

This hand-forged silver tea spoon from Etsy is made by the seller from a block of sterling silver, with a slight pattern from hammering left visible on the handle and in the bowl of the spoon, and also the creator's initials and date stamped into the back. I think one (or a few) of these would make a great gift. $75 each.

Nail Bangle

I'm undecided on what style this Nail Bangle bracelet by Connie Verrusio fits into. Inspired by hardware and mechanical parts, and "the things that hold the world together," it appears as a large nail bent around in a loop to be worn as jewelry. I like it because it's simple and understated, but very unique at the same time. Not sure I have an outfit that would coordinate, though, and looking at that sharp point I just know I'd be getting it caught on and unraveling every sweater and long-sleeved shirt I own. Made of sterling silver, 9" around and 2.75" across. $150

Sarah Hood Five Spice Necklace

Jewelry artist Sarah Hood has many interests and hobbies and she strives to combine them all in her one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces. Her love of gardening, botany, literature, children's toys, eastern philosophy, and travel all find a place in her creations. In her Spice Series, she combines the natural simplicity of whole spices with silver and glass, to "blur the lines between studio, kitchen, and laboratory." This piece is called Five Spice and consists of just that: five spices sealed in hand blown glass bottles suspended from a gently curved sterling silver bar. This necklace would certainly make an interesting conversation-starter. $780.

Noah's Ark Collectible Toy

The story of Noah's Ark is a timeless one that lends itself easily to children's toys and imagination with all the animals and the big boat (all kids love boats!). This collectible Noah's Ark from Links of London is hand crafted of mahogany and maple with sterling silver accents, and comes complete with a name plate that be engraved to truly personalize it. The Ark itself costs $880, with Noah and all the animal pairs available separately in sterling silver for $65 - $220 each. Whether you decide this is for play or for display is up to you, but it looks like fun either way.

Theo Fennell's Fancy Condiment Lids

If your kitchen and dinner table are in need of a style upgrade you might want to try something unique and unexpected, like these sterling silver condiment lids and sleeves by Theo Fennell. I love sterling silver, and these accessories are beautiful and have a nice understated design, but I can't decide if they're classy or cheesy...does a mustard jar really need bling like this?

One other thing to consider: the lids and sleeves are designed to fit specific jars, so make sure they're compatible with your favorite brands before you buy.
