Phillippe Starck's clear Ghost chairs are a design classic, now there is a new chair to love. It has the transparent legs of a Ghost chair but with a bright Missoni print for the chair itself. The chair is made of a polycarbonate structure with soft seat in fabric-covered expanded polyurethane. There are three Missoni prints and the cheerful chair sells for $790.

Designer Versions of Vipp Wastebaskets Raise Money For Charity

The hooded man posing with a wastebasket is none other than the ubiquitous designer Philippe Starck. Starck participated in an event to design Vipp wastebaskets for a benefit to raise money for children in Mozambique affected by AIDS. The event which included 30 French designers raised 35,000 euros with 2800 euros being bid on Starck's bin alone.
