Chronoswiss Timemaster Spring Watch

This lime green watch is meant to remind you of spring and summer. I think it would have been cool to call it the Chronoswiss "Springtime" watch. Right? Chronoswiss is a funny watch maker because they are German, and proudly so, but the name of the brand has "Swiss" in it. Funny enough Chronoswiss has not marketed this watch specifically for men or women. This often happens with designs that could theoretically appeal to either sex - the company doesn't know who it will appeal to so it is cautious to indicate that it is for men or women (cause most men will not buy a watch that is meant for women, but I would sport this watch based on the design). The Spring uses the basic Chronoswiss Timemaster case and style. You have the large "onion" crown and an automatic Chronoswiss C.128 movement inside. The dial is quite legible though will actually be more legible in the dark as the green SuperLumiNova will shine bright. Strap is green toned alligator.

Decorating the steel case's bezel are 60 Wesselton VVSI colored diamonds. Nicely cut and large for a quality luxury look. It is a supremely lively facade, and the light green tones feel almost refreshing in comparison to the rest of the diamond watches out there. I also like the bold application of the font on the date disc. Price for the watch will be $9,300 when it is available soon.

BCBGMAXAZRIA Bedford Shoulder Bag, Handbag of the Day

BCBGMAXAZRIA Women's Bedford Large Shoulder BagThe BCBGMAXAZRIA Women's Bedford Large Shoulder Bag comes in three colors: Oyster (whitish), Raspberry (reddish), and Blue Surf (at right), but our favorite is unanimously this bright teal! "Blue Surf" is not a bad name for this bold shade, which has the eye-catching allure of a deep lagoon.

We love the asymmetrical rectangular front pocket, and the elegantly trimmed cloth strap. The dark metal details add distinction to the simple, 17"W x 12.75"H x 6"D shape.

Teal, or "Blue Surf," goes beautifully with white and black ensembles, and would be an excellent match for this spring's greys, as well.

The BCBGMAXAZRIA Women's Bedford Large Shoulder Bag is available from Bloomingdales for $398.00.

Carlos Falchi Hand Painted Python Hobo, Handbag of the Day

Carlos Falchi Hand Painted Python HoboWe gasped when we saw this beautifully painted handbag by Carlos Falchi. A warning to the squeamish and/or Californians among you, though: It's python.

(And you can't get python in California.)

This white python skin bag is hand painted with bright, springy flowers in a sweeping, elegantly abstract design. On the Bergdorf Goodman website, you can zoom in to see the detail of how the brush strokes across the scales, giving the look of the of bag texture and dimension.

This gorgeous, decadent bag is 20"H x 20"W x 8"D, and includes a top zipper with a tassel toggle.

The Carlos Falchi Hand Painted Python Hobo is available from Bergdorf Goodman for $3,995.

Diptyque Spring 2009 White Candle Coffret

Filed under: Decor, Cosmetics and Fragrance

Ultra-luxe Parisian parfumeur Diptyque is offering a White Candle Coffret gift box (above) for Spring 2009 evoking the fresh scents of the season. The three scented mini candles offer a "fragrant harmony of floral and herbal notes", comprised of Roses, Freesia and Lierre (Ivy). Presented in a crisp white box, the trio can be burned together or individually; each candle burns for 30 hours. Roses "evokes the world's most universally loved flower", Lierre "evokes the branches of ivy leaves running on the walls of an antique house", and Freesia "presents the scent of delicious, peppery white flowers wafting in the air of a beautiful spring morning." Priced at $98, the Coffret is available at the Diptyque stores in San Francisco and New York, as well as select boutiques. The firm was founded on Paris' famed Boulevard Saint-Germain in 1961.

Tree of Enchantment Glass Orbs

We all have things that consistently appeal to us, and I always find myself drawn to art that represents the seasons. These 4 Tree of Enchantment Glass Orbs, designed by Stephen Kitras, are hand blown with a "trunk" in the center that branches out into the orb. Meant to represent winter, spring, summer, and fall, spots of jewel tone colors form the leaves of the trees (or in the "winter" one it could be snow) in corresponding colors like greens for spring and browns/golds for fall. The whole set would look beautiful hanging together in a bright window, or one alone switched out every few months. 6" diameter, $45 each.

Proenza Schouler for Target

Continuing the very successful GO International line at Target this spring will be Proenza Schouler . The design team of Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough gravitate towards clothing that is young with a modern edge to it. In light of this, it isn't surprising to hear that they worked with Michael Kors and Marc Jacobs before joining up in 2002. The collection, from what we can see so far, looks fun and perfect for spring, with lots of bright colors and soft fabrics. Previous GO International lines have included Behnaz Sarafpour, Tara Jarmon, Paul & Joe and Luella Bartley.

Bottega Veneta Sardegna Adjustable Bag, Handbag of the Day

The Sardegna Adjustable Bag is from Bottega Veneta's spring line and, with its bright near-fuchsia coloring, few would mistake it for a winter purse. The body of the tote is canvas, a practical choice for a purse that could end up down by the beach, but the thick, double-braided handles are made of soft, smooth leather. The top of the tote has no closure, but there are magnetic snaps at either end of the bag to allow it to expand, if necessary. It measures 12"H x 19"L x 6"W. Price: $720.

$100,000 Balenciaga Leggings

As a trend, leggings aren't going out of style just yet. Instead, they're getting more sophisticated. Balenciaga featured this particular pair in their S/S 2007 runway collection. They look metallic, but it is more likely that they are made of some sort of metallic fabric than actual gold. Then again, they are made only at request and cost roughly $100,000 per pair, which is pretty steep for what amounts to what is little more than long underwear.

Pierre Paulin Tulip Chair

Add a little springtime into your home with the Little Tulip Chair from Pierre Paulin. The chair is sculpted in the simple, well-known outline of one of nature's most recognizable flowers. There are also five different finishes to choose from for the base of the chair. Individually, the chairs can be used in an office, as a desk chair, or used as kitchen chairs in a modern kitchen. Price: $1,200.

LuxList: Top Ten Totes

A good tote bag is a summer essential. Why? People seem to carry around a lot more in the summer. Perhaps it is the long days and gorgeous weather, though it might be the spirit of summer vacation lingering from your school days, but once June comes around everyone has hats, books, three pairs of sunglasses, a bottle of water and sometimes an extra pair of sandals that they need to have with them at all times. After all, you never know when the opportunity to hit the beach might up.

The Coach Motif Tote is a fun, straw bag covered with bright appliques and accented with white patent and silver metallic leather. It coordinates perfectly with Coach's Mattie Wedge sandals. What's not to like? $358

Summer Seersucker for the Guys

Blame it on the changing seasons, but seersucker is back in style this summer. Seersucker is no longer limited to the bold blue-and-white stripes of yesteryear. Instead, this season's seersucker is more refined and available in more styles than ever before, so it looks great while retaining its easy-to-wear comfort and cool, breathable feel.

Etro Seersucker Trousers (pictured) are lightweight, with tan and white stripes that look almost like linen from a distance. Price: $310.

The Façonnable Stripe Seersucker Shirt masquerades as a bright, but traditional, pinstripe shirt with lines of blue, yellow and white in soft cotton. Price: $115.

Kenneth Cole has Flat Front Seersucker Pants that are a pale khaki in color. The cotton cloth"s pattern is so fine that only your comfort will remind you that you"re wearing something so casual. Price: $79.

For classicists, Paul Smith still has a blue and white seersucker suit, but the stripes are narrow and the lines of the jacket and pants are clean and up to date. It's great for a summer luncheon, business travel or ever a daytime wedding. Price: $1,195.

Marc Jacobs Flap Clutch, Handbag of the Day

This clutch is Marc by Marc Jacobs and is just about as summery as a clutch can get. Its bright yellow geometric sunbursts almost make it seem as though you are carrying around a piece of sunshine. The clutch has a flap closure that is secured with two logo-bearing snaps and is made of ultra-soft leather with a twill lining. There is a gusseted interior with six credit card slots, a billfold and zipped pocket, in addition to a flat pocket under the flap and one on the back of the clutch. It is also available in a sliver metallic, which has a red and white sunburst lining. Price: $168.

Miu Miu Peony Wedges

Another fun summer shoe, Miu Miu's Peony Wedges are similar in concept to the Coach Mattie Wedges. Just like the Coach pair, these wedges have a floral pattern to add interest to their 5-inch platform heels, though the earthy tones of the peonies are considerably more demure than the bright blooms of the other pair. The soft tan-colored leather straps will hold the sandals securely in place during all summer activities, and they fasten with a gold buckle. Price: $395.

Top Spring/Summer Wedding Dress Fashions

Wedding dresss fashions change just like everything else does, though they are far more likely to keep to tradition - something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue - than other types of dress. The waists move up and down and skirts getl alternately fuller and slimmer, but the elegance is something that is never overlooked. Here are the top wedding dress fashions for this year's spring/summer season. All the dresses shown here are from runway shows.

Anything by Caroline Herrera, because not only are the dresses gorgeous, but when women who have worn them actually want to alter them for daily wear, they must be something special. Dress by Caroline Herrera.
