Speake-Marin Marin 2 Mk1 Thalassa Limited Edition Watch
Filed under: Timepieces / Watches

The case is in 18k white gold, 42mm wide and in Speake-Marin's "Piccadilly" style. The dial is partially skeletonized with the rest being in all blued steel with while hour indicators. The subsidiary seconds dial is in the shape of the rotor that Speake-Marin uses in his automatic watches. I like the large lume covered hands making this watch both eye-pleasing and practical. Note the large date disc with staggered numerals to account for its diagonal window location. While the watch might not sway new fans to the brand (Speake-Marin's more simple offerings might be best for that), the Thalassa is a good addition to his collection and an interesting object for brand fans.
