Camp Schramsberg

Filed under: Luxury Travel & Hotels, Wine

We've seen wine camps before but for lovers of California sparkling wines, Camp Schramsberg is the ultimate wine camp experience. This year they are holding their Harvest Camp on August 27 –  August 29. The camp adventure starts with a sunset dinner in the J. Davies vineyard and includes picking grapes in the vineyards and creating the dosage for custom bottles to take home. The weekend includes tastings of freshly pressed grape juices and  base wines, tours of the historic caves and in-depth study of how foods blend or contrast with sparkling wines. The weekend even includes practice in the ultimate party trick, slicing open a bottle with a saber. The weekend costs $995 per person.
