Historic Gipsy Moth IV Yacht For Sale

The yacht in which Sir Francis Chichester made history in 1967 by sailing around the world singlehandedly is being sold. The Gipsy Moth IV has been listed for sale for £250,000. The yacht is a 54ft Honduras Mahogany ketch that has been restored to the way she was at the time of the record. An article in the Metro reports that the modern electronics are hidden behind the original control panel. The yacht spent some time in the Greenwich museum before being sold. The United Kingdom Sailing Academy is selling the boat which is listed through Berthon yacht brokers.
