Edoc Laundry CSI Shirts

Edoc Laundry is a Seattle-area clothing company that designs t-shirts that use some sort of a secret code to draw interest from clothing fans, and even uses the clues in the shirts as part of an ongoing mystery at their site. If you're not into decoding your t-shirts, the designs are pretty cool, regardless. The shirts have a cult-following now, but that might just change next week when they are featured prominently in an episode of CSI: NY. The creators of the show teamed up with Edoc to create shirts especially for the show. In the episode (airing Oct. 11), the shirts are used by a serial killer to leave clues about his identity and his motives for killing. All four shirt designs (including Hydra, pictured) are available online, and if you get them before the show airs, you can always say that you were ahead of the curve.

Charles Tyrwhitt Shirts

New luxury review blog Spungle recently checked out the shirts of Charles Tyrwhitt and came away seriously impressed. Charles Tyrwhitt makes a variety of shirts and offers a high level of customization. You can pick out your favorite fabric and style and then get a bunch of shirts made at one. Spungle checked out a couple of shirts including the non-iron classic which resists both wrinkles and stains and the Sea Islands shirts which can be worn as both formal attire and daily work shirts.

They also do women's shirts and suits as well as tiny shirts for boys and girls that are adorably perfect in each scaled-down detail. My favorite is the blue Hibiscus print for little boys. So perfect for summer, it sells for $26.25.

Wear Your Food, Don't Eat It

Staying slim in Hollywood is as popular as ever and healthy eating is slowly becoming the mantra of many Americans, both of which explain why, instead of stopping into McDonald's for a snack, shoppers in LA are stopping by Intuition. The boutique has offerings like the McDonald's cookie tee packed inside a happy meal box, so at least the A-list can rest easy knowing that these shirts are diet-friendly. The faux-vintage tees bear logos from old advertising campaigns and now defunct promotional characters, such as Mayor McCheese. Anyone interested can pick one up for $56.

Baby Couture from the Boom Boom Room

At this year’s Golden Globes, the stars weren’t the only ones walking away with bags full of free goodies from designers. Actually, they were – but not everything in the bags was for themselves. In addition to more adult-sized offerings, vendors set up a Boom Boom Room that featured lots of stuff for kids and babies.

Crib Rock Couture has updated nursery rhyme characters on fashionable logo-tees. The tees are reminiscent of vintage rocker tee’s and are styled after classic tour shirts, but with the gentler edge that only Miss Muffet can provide. The new 3 Blind Mice tee, from the “Carving Knife Tour” is especially cute at $33.

Diapees & Wipees makes fashionable bags for toting around the most important baby tools, diapers and wipes, without lugging a carrier that looks like a picnic cooler. The bags come in bright, vibrant colors and retail for $14.99.

Snugglebug Baby makes jeweled pacifier clips, which keep fashion-forward parents from losing their baby’s favorite object and lets baby start collecting bling early in life. The clips are $25.00 and come in boys and girls styles, like the Swarovski clip pictured here, with additional customization available.

Brokeback Shirts Sell For Over $100,000

Filed under: Apparel, Auctions, Celebrity Shopping

We mentioned the heated auction for Jack's shirts from Brokeback Mountain a few weeks ago. The auction closed on February 20 and the shirts sold for $101,100.51. Gay.com has an interview with the winner, collector Tom Gregory. Gregory is the life partner of David Bohnett, founder of GeoCities and the head of the David Bohnett foundation. In the interview, Gregory says he will never separate the shirts and he won't let anyone try them on.
