The Setai New York, the East Coast's First Capella-Managed Hotel, Opens
Filed under: Luxury Travel & Hotels
Look out, Fifth Avenue - there's a new luxury hotel in town. The Big Apple is no stranger to luxurious hotel properties, but the East Coast's first Capella-managed hotel property, Setai Fifth Avenue, is making waves in town in a big way. Situated on prime Midtown real estate (Fifth Avenue between 36th and 37th Streets), the hotel is within a few minutes walk of the Macy's flagship store, Times Square, Grand Central Station and Madison Square Garden. The hotel offers 157 of the city's largest guest rooms, most of which are over 700 square feet, plus 57 suites, including three penthouses. Even if you don't plan to spend much time in your room, opt for the impressive "Avenue" rooms or a Studio Suite, which features a connected living area.
Fifty-four hotel suites each have a separate bedroom and living room. Furnished kitchens in these apartments offer a full-sized refrigerator, stove and appliances by Miele. Setai also offers three striking penthouse suites, each one-of-a-kind. Finished in rosewood and white marble with gold veining and textiles in deeper browns and red accents, the 1,900-square-foot suites feature two bedrooms with the option to connect up to two connecting suites for a total of four bedrooms, three living rooms and four-and-a-half baths.
