If you don't wear your gold jewelry you can stop hoarding it, waiting for the apocalypse or the peak of the gold bubble, and trade it in at H. Stern this week through September 25. The jewelry boutique is holding a Gold Rush event at their New York City and Merrick Park, Florida boutiques. Trade in your old gold for something newly shiny from the latest collections at H. Stern and receive 20 percent over market value.

In October (alas not in time for this event) H. Stern launches a collection inspired by legendary architect Oscar Niemeyer. The pieces include a jewel designed by Niemeyer in a silk-screen print from the 1980s, and various others inspired by the female form, which he recorded in different designs. The collection was the initiative of Roberto Stern, president and creative director of H.Stern, who has always given special emphasis to organic and sinuous forms in the jewelry. "We do not find straight lines in Nature, therefore I like asymmetry and irregular contours, which are more human and natural", said Stern. It was this shared passion with the architect that led Stern to launch the collection.

The H.Stern Collection by Oscar Niemeyer includes jewelry in gold and diamonds, divided into eight different lines with the names of designs, works and some famous projects. They convey the simplicity of the outlines, which are summarized in a few, essential lines: loose, free and flowing.
