Special-Edition BlackBerry Bold 9780 for Selfridges

Limited Edition BlackBerry by Bill Amberg
Bill Amberg for BlackBerry, for Selfridges. This exclusive special edition BlackBerry Bold 9780 was created by designer Bill Amberg and although it's available in six colors the yellow, shown here (the backplate) was made exclusively for Selfridges. The backplate features Selfridges' earthy mustard yellow and it comes with a matching leather case that's crafted in Europe and polished until it shines with a sleek lacquered finish. Inside the limited edition phones are the first to come with the new BlackBerry 6 operating system and (I'm assuming) come loaded with a special Bill Amberg theme. Each of the six colors is limited to ten numbered editions, the Selfridges' yellow included. £1000

Gilded £1000 Wispa Gold is the World's Most Expensive Chocolate Bar

wispa
People can be very attached to their favorite childhood candy bar, so it should come as no great surprise that a public campaign to get Cadbury to put the Wispa Gold back on the shelves got what they wanted. But while the average store-bought example will sell for a modest 55 pence in the UK, the confectionary company has created one very special example to commemorate the brand's relaunch.

Initially launched in 1995 as an alternative to competitor Nestle's Aero bar, the Wispa bred several varieties, including the caramel-filled Wispa Gold, the Wispa Mint, caramel and biscuit Wispa Bite and the coffee-flavored Wispaccino. But when Cadbury relaunched the Dairy Milk in 2003, the similar Wispa was discontinued. Now back by popular demand, Cadbury crafted on special edition, covered in gold leaf, was delivered by gold-record singer Tony Hadley to the Selfridges department store in London where it is being displayed in the jewelry department as a promotion. After that, it will be put on sale to benefit the UK Lowe Syndrome Trust for a whopping £961.48, the exact value if the chocolate bar were actually a real gold bar, making this the most expensive candy bar ever made.

Given the price of gold these days I'm not sure if you are supposed to eat this or tuck it in the bank. Actually you can do both with this one. Selfridges is offering a chocolate egg created by Melt's head chocolatier Chika Watanabe with one troy ounce of gold bullion set into it. Selfridges tells the Telegraph that the coin used on the egg is a particularly rare one that the Royal Mint no longer produces and is worth £900. The Wonder Room at Selfridges

London's Selfridges store dazzled the world recently with the announcement of the Wonder Room. The Wonder Room is actually a 19,000 square-foot space that is dedicated to luxury items, fine jewelry, watches, wine and other precious gifts from top brands such as Hermes, Chrome Hearts, Tiffany & Co and Bulgari which are located in boutiques hugging the perimeter of the room. It's not just a shopping experience, you can also visit the Wonder Bar, which features one of my favorite gadgets of all time an Enomatic Wine System stocked with 52 selections for true taste indulgence. Shown here are some the the pieces including the Ostrich Departure Bag (£10,150) made of ostrich leather and Swarovski Crystals, Theo Fennel's new line of fine jewelry called "Quiver" featuring pieces made of yellow and black diamonds and a Hermes saddle. Gold The New Trend In Luxe Baby Gear?

Is gold the new color for baby gear? Recently a couple of special edition gold-themed baby items caught my eye. Gwen Stefeani was recently spotted using a very shiny gold stroller made by British brand Mamas and Papas. There are just ten of the Ziko Gold strollers available and they sell for around $860 at Selfridges. Also at Selfridges you can pick up a gold papoose designed by Bill Amberg. The sheepskin papoose sells for around $1,895 and is also available in more traditional baby colors like pink and blue.
