SKORPPIO Vodka (& Other Scorpion Goodies)

Usually finding an insect in your drink is a bad thing, but in the case of SKORPPIO Vodka it's meant to be a special treat... like getting the worm from the bottom of a bottle of tequila. SKORPPIO is five times distilled single-grain vodka produced in England that has a special woody flavor that comes from the addition of food-grade edible, farm-raised scorpions.

Although eating a large, vodka-marinated insect isn't something I'm interested in, I can appreciate that it's a delicacy in some cultures and a unique experience I'm sure. Check out the gallery below for more edible scorpion treats.

The Scorpion Hybrid Supercar

It's red, it's sleek, it's the Scorpion from the newly formed Ronn Motor Company. It's main features include the fact that it goes from 0-60 in 3.5 seconds and gets 40 mpg. So what's so special about that? How about the fact that it's also a hydrogen burning hybrid?

I'm no mechanic (couldn't be farther from it, actually) but the description on AutoblogGreen of how the engine works is really interesting. This car sounds like a really satisfying way to satisfy both a need for speed and an interest in preserving the planet (too bad it looks like a refurbished Viper).

The Scorpion will be manufactured in Texas and should be available to consumers this fall.

This Thomas Wylde Colossus Scorpion Bag is for those who want something that is not only crisp and bright for spring but also has a bit of an edge to it. Two large scorpions formed from jewels and studs hang somewhat quietly (it takes a second to see what they are) onto the side of the distressed finish white lambskin leather, and it gets a few more "bad" points from large pointed studs on either side and a quilted scorpion print lining. Plus it has a chunky gold chain shoulder strap, magnetic closure, a nameplate on the back, and a flat leather base. $2500.
