Sac à Baguette - Eco-Friendly Doesn't Have to Be Ugly

Inspired by French baguette sacs, Marybeth Shaw of Shaw Jelveh Design has designed the Sac à Baguette, a truly sophisticated and eco-friendly way to carry your things.

The attractive sacs are designed for picnics and the market, though you could also use them for other purposes like brunch and coffee -- that handy "baguette quiver" compartment fits a rolled up newspaper quite splendidly, or a bouquet of flowers. The main sac holds six gallons of whatever you're toting, has a zipper pocket for your essentials and has a removable liner for easy cleaning (it zips out). Sturdy leather straps ensure that this bag won't self-destruct, like most cheaply made reusable totes.

The Sac à Baguette comes in three colors named for the cities they call to mind; from left: San Francisco, New York and Rotterdam. Who doesn't want to take an angry snarling wolf with them wherever they go? I know I sure do! This is the Airbrushed Wolf Sac Bag by Maison Martin Margiela (I always think that's such a mouthful of a name) and it's a bag that communicates both designer taste and bad attitude style. Classically shaped by simply draping leather from a rounded handle, the bag is unlined and is mostly open at the top with a silver metal clasp. Measures 22" across at the widest point, and has one interior zip pocket that dangles from the handle. $1,195
