Kickbars, Diamonds For Your Shoes

If you are running out of places to put your diamonds, consider your sneakers. The perfect accessory to those pricey limited edition sneaks just might be Kickbars, jewel-encrusted shoelace clips. The bars, which feature emeralds, sapphires, rubies and diamonds set in white gold, can also be used on bracelets and necklaces. The original Kickbar has 54 G color, VS1 diamonds pave set into the rectangular bar (a total weight of 2 carats) and sells for $7500.

An LA Times article earlier this spring highlights another way to make your shoes sparkle, a company called Greedy Genius is selling interchangeable diamond eyelets.

Chanel J12 Limited Edition Watch

One of the latest to join the Chanel J12 family, this watch is truly limited edition as only 12 are being made -- if you're lucky enough to get one you're in an very small club. There's not much information out yet, but we do know this Chanel J12 Limited Edition watch comes in a 38mm case of 18k white gold and ceramics. The dial is set with 84 diamonds and 12 rubies, the bezel is set with 36 rubies, and the crown features a cabochon ruby. It will also come in a 33 mm version if you prefer a smaller size, and no word yet on price.

House of Taylor Jewels Up For Auction

More beautiful pieces have come out of the House of Taylor Jewelry collection. Three couture jewelry pieces from the Elizabeth Collection inspired by Dame Elizabeth Taylor, will be featured in Christie's Magnificent Jewels
auction on April 25 in New York. The three Elizabeth Collection pieces include a four strand, diamond and golden pearl necklace estimated at $25,000-$35,000, a pair of diamond encrusted ear pendants with four large cultured golden pearls, set in 18 karat white gold and estimated to sell for $6,000-$8,000, and a double-strand ruby and diamond necklace, with a long ruby and diamond tassel designs set to sell for $180,000-$250,000. Royal Brooch To Be Sold At Auction

Prince Edward of Wales certainly knew how to show his love for Wallis Simpson. The man who gave up a kingdom for love, gave the object of his affection this amazing Cartier brooch with their initials W and E done is rubies and sapphires. The brooch is now for sale again at Bonhams in London on Dec. 7. The auction has an estimate of up to 35,000 pounds ($67,729), lower than the $95,333 it brought when it was first on the market in the 1980s. The brooch was purchased from Sotheby's in 1987 by the Daily Mail newspaper and was won in a Daily Mail poetry competition by Percy and Vera Brindley and auctioned by Bonhams in 2000.

True to those guidelines, the Multi-Colored Pave Sutra Bracelet is both creative and glamorous. The link bracelet is made of 18K white gold and inlaid with 4,400 pave-set stones, including rubies, garnets, sapphires and amethysts, to make up its rainbowed appearance. Will Posh Get Keira's Necklace For Her Birthday?

Another year older already? It's time yet again for the birthday of Posh Spice, otherwise known as Victoria Beckham. The Beckhams are infamous for their lavish birthday fetes and this year is no different. Last year they partied in Paris, this year Victoria is having a Japanese-themed party at the Beckham manse in Madrid. The walls will be covered in Japanese silk and chefs from Nobu will prepare the food which includes lobster tails served in martini glasses and exotic fruits and sorbets. But the big news is Victoria's gift. Rumor has it she will be given a copy of the necklace that Keira Knightly wore to the Oscars this year. The massive vintage collar which drips with diamonds, sapphires, rubies and emeralds has been said to cost around $12 million. After the big day, the couple will enjoy a vacation in the Italian lakes area. What a way to turn 32.

Famed Arpel Jewels To Be Auctioned

Another exciting jewelry auction is taking place this spring. We've seen auctions from Princess Margaret and Mrs. Kroc of the McDonald's fortune. Now  jewels from another famous name, Madame Claude Arpels will be the focus of  Sotheby's  Magnificent Jewels sale to be held in Geneva on  May 18, 2006. Madame Arpels collection includes, of course, many pieces by Van Cleef &  Arpels. The collection is 90 lots and proceeds will be divided divided between a family charitable trust, the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation and the Cancer Research Institute.  Pieces in the collection are estimated to sell for between $1,500 to $170,000. and includes diamonds, rubies, and Madame Arpel's favorite combination, diamonds and sapphires.

World's Most Expensive Bunny

Harrod's is showcasing the world's most expensive bunny. The bunny is made to look like the iconic Lindt chocolate bunnies, which are traditionally wrapped in gold foil and sold around the Easter holiday. Though the critter matches the 200-gram chocolate double in size, the Harrod's bunny is inedible, made not of chocolate but of 24-karat gold. It is inlaid with diamonds, rubies, citrine and topaz, and is valued in excess of £20,000, or approximately $35,000.

On display until April 16th, you can bid on the bunny by visiting it in the Candy Room at the Harrod's Knightsbridge store. All proceeds will be given to the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity. Alternatively, you can buy yourself an edible Lindt chocolate bunny, sold in a set of three for $10.99.

We missed this one for our Valentine's Day jewelry posts, the latest sparklers from the IceMan, Chris Aire are in the UNI collection. The UNI is meant to symbolize the union of you and I. The U and the I are also interspersed with diamond hearts so that it says I love you. The pendant, in red gold with diamond and rubies, sells for $4,850. The UNI symbol is also available on a bracelet and in cufflinks.

Sotheby's Magnificent Jewels Auction

Is it just coincidence that Sotheby's is holding their Magnificent Jewels auction on Valentine's Day? Who knows, but if you wish to truly, truly dazzle that special lady you could always whisk her off to St. Moritz for a little bidding. The stunning set shown here is a necklace and a pair of earclips from Van, Cleef & Arpels. The design features stylized trefoils set with brilliant-cut diamonds and decorated with oval rubies mounted in 18K yellow gold. This set is estimated to sell for up to 500,000 Swiss Francs.
