The Struggle to Sell the Ring-Andersen
Last year when I wrote about the donation of the yacht Ring-Andersen to the Virginia Maritime Heritage Foundation I mentioned that it might be sold in a couple of years to raise money. Looks like I was off a bit, the foundation is looking to sell the yacht before the two-year mark has been reached. They have made several attempts to sell the 59-year-old wooden sailing yacht, including listing it on eBay and having a live auction. But it is only those who stop trying that fail so the yacht is again up for auction. It will be back on eBay as of December 27. The auction ends January 6.[via The Virginian Pilot]
