Newest "Real Housewife" Already Facing Foreclosure?

She's only just joined the show but Peggy Tanous, the latest housewife to join The Real Housewives of Orange County, should fit right in. After all, she's already part of the foreclosure club. Lansner on Real Estate has been following the story and reports that her home in Irvine, California was purchased in 2006 for $1.379 million and that she owes a total of $1,318,253. An auction is scheduled for March 17. Tanous is described as a former biking model and stay-at-home mom. She is friends with Alexis Bellino who has her own real estate trouble. Bellino's home is currently listed for $3.395 million in what appears to be a short sale situation. This is a reduction from the $3.695 million it was at when we looked at in December. The listing states that the owners "have over $6 million into the property" a reference it seems both to the initial outlay and the remodeling that the Bellinos did on the home.

In the video above Tanous gives the OC Register a tour showing off collections of swords, wax sculptures and the home movie theater complete with "butt shakers" to make the experience more realistic. Tanous is a fan of Versace, there's a Medusa head in the foyer tile and Versace china. Their wet bar also includes a wine tap system.

alexis bellinoMore Real Housewives real estate drama. Radar Online says that "The Real Housewives of Orange County" star Alexis Bellino and her husband Jim, have had a "property foreclosure notice" published in their local newspaper, The Daily Pilot. The property is their Newport Beach, California mansion. Radar Online says the couple nearly lost the home back in August when they defaulted on a $4.5 million loan. They worked out a loan modification but the home went on the market.

The pair bought it in 2006 and the listing says that the owner has over $6 million into the property. It is reduced for quick sale with a price of $3.695 million, a reduction from the price of $4.995 million it was listed at just last month. The home is located near Nicolas Cage's former mansion in Newport Beach and sits on a double lot near the water. The six-bedroom home has been completely remodeled. It has high ceilings and opens with a grand staircase perfect for dramatic moments. The custom home includes a large gourmet kitchen, wine cellar, a home theater complete with Titanic and Good Fellas posters. Downstairs there is a pool table with a bar and fireplace. Although there isn't a swimming pool there is a large outdoor recreation area with a spa.

Danielle Staub To Create Cross-Centered Jewelry Line

"The Real Housewives of New Jersey's" Danielle Staub is attempting to parlay her reality television fame into a branding juggernaut. Staub has a t-shirt line called "Danielle's Mafia" and she told TooFab that she is working on a "cross-inspired" jewelry line that she hopes to launch it in time for the holiday season. Staub says that the crosses are "an insignia of just being close whether it's a religious thing, or a relationship thing." She also says she wants do make rings and necklaces. She tells TooFab that she doesn't like necklace chains around her neck, although the picture at right seems to indicate otherwise. She plans to do leather or black rope necklaces and cuff bracelets but no earrings. She named Versani, a Manhattan-based jewelry house as her collaborator. Staub also has eventual plans for a fashion line.

"Real Housewives" jewelry is a competitive field. Lynne Curtin from "The Real Housewives of the OC" has a line of jewelry (many with a cross motif). Ramona Singer from "The Real Housewives of New York City" has her jewelry line with HSN. Kelly Killoren Bensimon also from "The Real Housewives of New York City" sells her feathers and leather jewelry designs on her own website. Lisa Wu Hartwell of "The Real Houswives of Atlanta" sells jewelry and clothing on her website. Also from "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" Teresa Giudice also sells her own jewelry on her TG Fabulicious website.

Staub's New Jersey home remains on the market for $1.095 million.

Jeana Keough Re-Lists At A Deep Discount

We've been following the real estate travails of Jeana Keough, former star of the Real Housewives of Orange County and real estate agent, for a while now. Just last summer her seven-bedroom home in the Coto de Caza, California community was listed at $5.5 million. Flash forward to now and the Real Estalker leads us to a fresh listing for the home and a new low price of $3.9 million. But it gets worse, apparently a second Notice of Default was filed on the property in mid-December of 2009 setting an auction date of March 5. The OC Register reported that $1,519,824.50 is owed on the home.
The listing's rather fuzzy photos show the French Country estate with a guest house, basketball court and a large pool and spa with covered patios and a firepit. Inside the home has high ceilings, lots of draperies and plenty of beige. There is a two-person office with a view of the hillside, large family room with built in wet bar, game room, library and a media room formed by a pull-down screen, a couple of leather chairs with cupholders and some large speakers.

UPDATE: The home has been saved from foreclosure by a loan modification. She told the Orange County Register that the home will be taken off the market.

Another Real Housewife In Real Estate Trouble

lynne curtinYes, there's even more "Real Housewives" real estate drama afoot. TMZ has documents showing that Lynne Curtin from "Real Housewives of Orange County" has received a three-day eviction notice asking her to vacate her rented Laguna Beach home. If she and her husband don't settle the $12,000 bill they will be forced to leave. Documents show that Curtin owes a $10,000 security deposit as well as a $600 late fee and $1,763 in other expenses. What's worse, the homeowner says the Curtins haven't been paying other bills and their utilities have been cut off. And even their real estate agent is getting in on the act saying the couple owes $2,500 in commission for getting them into the house in June.

Curtin, who is a recent addition to the show and also sells a line of cuff bracelets, is just the latest "housewife" to be facing a sudden change of residence. We've seen several of the Orange County housewives including Jenna Keough and Tamra Barney flirt with foreclosure and short sales. Last week, TMZ reported that Lisa Wu-Hartwell of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" lost her Atlanta-area home in a short sale situation. A couple of the New York housewives have been trying to sell their homes including Jill Zarin and Kelly Bensimon.

Tamra Barney In The O.C., Estate of the Day

The real estate sell off from the Real Housewives television shows continues. We are back in the O.C. for a look at the home of Tamra Barney, one of the stars of "The Real Housewives of Orange County." The Real Estalker reveals that Tamra Barney and her husband Simon recently put their Ladera Ranch, California home back on the market. They first listed the five-bedroom home last November. The Real Estalker also took a peek over at Redfin where the home is listed as a short sale. According to property records the pair paid $1,320,500 for the home in 2005. They are set for a loss as they are only asking $1,149,000 for it now.

For your money you get the standard Tuscan-style inland Orange County home, beige on the outside, dark wood and tile on the inside. The backyard is rather nice with a saltwater pool, spa with a waterfall, a built-in grill, bar, fireplace and firepit. The kitchen features a large granite-topped island with barstool plus a separate breakfast table. Dispensing with the usual flatscreen television over the fireplace, the family room has a large television built in to a wood cabinet. The living room and dining room are separated by a half wall which keeps the dining room from being too narrow. I don't watch the show so I don't know if this is how her home usually appears but it looks staged and ready for sale to me.

UPDATE: This home is no longer on the market.
