Exclusive: The Real Housewives of New York City's Ramona Singer To Launch New Wine Label

Ramona SInger of The Real Housewives of New York City to launch her own Pinot Grigio wine label.Anyone who is an avid fan of The Real Housewives of New York City will not be too surprised to learn that Ramona Singer, the perky blond cast member, will be launching her own Pinot Grigio wine brand, Luxist has learned.

Singer's love for Pinot Grigio is well-known to viewers. Indeed, in nearly every episode of the reality television show (aired on the Bravo television network), the reality star is seen sipping a glass of Pinot Grigio. Luxist got an exclusive sneak peek of the unofficial rendition of her simple, yet elegant wine label (see gallery below).

According to inside sources, the wine is being produced in the Veneto region of Italy and will be part of Opici Wines. With 50 brands in its portfolio from such countries as France, Chile, Italy, Spain, South Africa and the United States, Opici Wines is an experienced and highly reputable player in the wine business. Ramona Singer Pinot Grigio will hit retail shelves in January 2011 will be priced at approximately $14.99. It will be represented nationally through Opici's distributor network covering close to 50 states.

Singer, a serial entrepreneur, operates several other successful businesses including True Faith Jewelry, Ramona Singer Jewelry line for HSN, Ramona Singer Collections for Amazon.com and Tru Renewal Skin Care. Her line of pendants, bracelets, earrings and rings, priced from $200 to $600, are inspired by her penchant for estate and art deco.

Buyers Bounce to Beach, ArtHamptons Flops

The artists are blaming the weather. Despite the fact that we're in a pretty nasty art slump, the optimistic believe that three days of sunshine lured potential art buyers to the beach instead of the ArtHamptons fair in Bridgehampton, Long Island this weekend. Purchases were made, but in general, they were disappointing. Realistically, the sales made sense, given what we've seen at auction over the past year.

Several celebrities did attend the art fair, but they brought little excitement, it seems, beyond their appearances. Jon Bon Jovi, personalities from The Real Housewives of New York City, Kelsey Grammer and Russell Simmons were all spotted, but Bloomberg didn't report any purchases.

The biggest name at the ArtHamptons fair, of course, was Michael Jackson – a creation by Andy Warhol. Originally, Vered Gallery had hoped to sell it via silent auction, but the gallery yanked the portrait late last week ... claiming that collectors were looking at the piece but "needed more time to assess the value."

Or, maybe they were just at the beach, like everyone else, apparently.

Real Housewife Lists NYC Apartment

jill zarinAs I've mentioned before, part of the function of Bravo's "Real Housewives" shows seems to be the dispensing of high-end real property, each cast seems to take the opportunity to float some real estate on the market . Jill Zarin of the "Real Housewives Of New York City" has put her New York City apartment on the market. The NY Post's Jennifer Gould Keil reports that the three-bedroom home on the Upper East Side received a renovation on TV. The results were also chronicled in Traditional Home magazine which has a spread with larger pictures of the home's new decor. Designer Brad Boles told Traditional Home that the apartment was partly done in tones of blues and teals to flatter the redhead's skin tones. The home has oversized windows, ten-foot ceilings, shagreen inspired walls, chandeliers and more. The building includes a health club and a roof deck. This unit is listed at $3.2 million.

UPDATE: This home is now listed at $2.995 million.

Kelly Killoren Bensimon In East Hampton, Estate of the Day

I'm beginning to think that The Real Housewives of New York City" isn't a reality show about rich New York ladies, it's a real estate showcase in disguise. One of the housewives, Ramona Singer put her Southampton home up for rent this summer already and here comes another one. The modelicious Kelly Killoren Bensimon has put her home on Further Lane in East Hampton for rent for the summer for the lofty price of $335,000. You can also buy it for $10.9 million.

The shingled home has four bedrooms and sits on 1.2 acres that include a gunite pool and a two-car garage. The interior is a bit more modern than many summer homes with dark glossy wood floors, a stainless steel kitchen and plenty of animal prints and whimsical details like a giant shark mounted in the living room. Newsday's Real Li reports that the home was on sale in 2007 for $14.5 million.
