Jenny Craig Lists Her Rancho Santa Fe Home And Horse Farm

The Real Estalker reported that diet guru Jenny Craig has listed her longtime Rancho Santa Fe, California home. Craig, whose diet plan has had a host of celebrity spokespeople, founded her business in the 1980s and sold it in 2006. Craig bought this home with her late husband Sidney in 1997 from the estate of Pete Rozelle, a former NFL commissioner. The four-bedroom home is on 3.37 acres that include a two-bedroom guest house, pool with a pool pavilion, tennis court, manicured lawns and a car museum. This home is listed at $8.995 million.

The backyard overlooks Rancho Paseana Farm, a 228-acre thoroughbred race horse training facility that Craig currently has on the market for $29.95 million. The horse farm was originally developed by Gene Klein and his trainer Wayne Lucas, as a premier race horse facility. It has 228 all flat usable acres with a seasonal stream and a 3/4 mile race track. Craig and her late husband Sid were racing enthusiasts who invested in thoroughbreds. Their horse Chocolate Candy ran in last year's Kentucky Derby.

Tom DeLonge In Rancho Santa Fe, Estate of the Day

It's been nearly a year since he first listed it and Blink-182 singer Tom DeLonge is eager to unload his home in Rancho Santa Fe, California. The five-bedroom home was listed last year for $6.25 million. DeLonge is quite the buyer and seller in the San Diego county area. He has picked up a number of homes, renovated them well with the help of his interior designer wife Jennifer, and then sold them. But he's hit a snag on this one. He bought the home for $5.5 million in 2005. It has 6,500 square feet of space on 1.1 acre and is nicely situated for mountain views. The grounds include a vanishing edge pool and an attached guest home with a den and kitchenette. The home has a surround sound system, gourmet kitchen, large master suite with spa bath, an office suite with elaborate seamless glass doors and a separate craft room. The Wall Street Journal reports that the home is now listed at $4.995 million with Laura Barry Luxury Estates meaning that DeLonge will be taking a loss on this one.

Kroc Necklace Sells For Over $2 Million

The fabulous jewels of McDonald's heiress Joan Kroc brought in close to $7 million at Christie's “Magnificent Jewels” auction on Tuesday. The gorgeous necklace shown here went for over $2 million to a private collector in Europe. According to the San Diego Union-Tribune this auction is just part of converting Kroc's assets to cash. When she died in 2003, she left around $1.5 billion to the Salvation Army to create community centers. Christie's will also auction off her artwork at several upcoming sales on April 19, May 3 and May 25. Other furniture and decorative arts items will be part of a Christie's House Sale in June and proceeds will benefit the Salvation Army. Also, as we mentioned earlier, her Rancho Santa Fe estate is on the market.

The Ultimate Estate, Estate of the Day

When you call something the "Ultimate Estate," expectations are bound to be high. This private compound sits on nine acres in Rancho Santa Fe, which is near San Diego. The home started off as a Spanish design in the early 1920s and has grown into a posh affair with a primary residence that has six bedrooms. The pool cabana is a gym with two bathrooms, sauna and a catering kitchen. There is also a one bedroom caretaker's house, a one bedroom guest suite and a two bedroom guest residence with its own pool and spa and a chef's kitchen with a wood-burning pizza oven and dining for 20. The estate also has a tennis court with adjacent waterfalls and a koi pond, an equestrian area with pastures and stalls, and garage space for eleven cars (and two golf carts which you will probably need to navigate this large property).
