Seventies chic is alive and well. For the past few seasons, we've been seeing traces of the 70's with a modern interpretation in the runway collections of Chloe and Louis Vuitton. For those who like the look but don't want to invest in a whole new wardrobe or outfit, Lanvin's sleek and sexy Happy Pop Clutch ($1290) is the way to go.

Reminiscent of the chic '70s, Lanvin's rust orange clutch is simply adorned with quilted detailing adding an air of understated elegance. With a detachable metal and leather shoulder strap, the Happy Pop Clutch works double duty as a ladylike shoulder bag. The interior is lined with jacquard fabric and features a zippered and organizational pocket. Dimensions: 5" x 9.5" x 2" with a 18" shoulder strap drop.

Azumi and David Leather Shoes Pouch, Handbag of the Day

As a designer, it can be difficult to decide on which creative path to pursue. It appears that the designers behind Azumi and David saw the fork in the creative road and proceeded straight - doing exactly what they felt like doing with no regard to trends.

Their Leather Shoes Pouch ($411) encompasses the styling of a shoe and has merged that with an oversized Chanel inspired quilted clutch. Aside from a heel sticking out at the base, the clutch itself is beautifully simple and elegant. It's made with soft leather, has a roomy interior, a fold over closure and complementing minimal hardware. I suppose one benefit of having a heel as part of your clutch is that it will stand on its own.

Like a well-tailored suit worn with a crisp white blouse, this bag is classically good-looking. The tan and white strips on the snap flap look sharp against the matte black leather, and mirror the quilted stripes on the bag. Trimmed in bright white leather piping and accented with just a touch of silver hardware, the bag features a zippered pocket on the back and a divided interior with an additional zip pocket. $1575.

Marc Jacobs Camila Metallic Bag, Handbag of the Day

Another metallic bag that doesn't blind. Available in silver or ivory quilted leather, the Camila looks soft and has some interesting details. The lines created by the gathering along the top is a little distracting, but overall the bag is not too fussy. The cute push lock detail on the front is purely cosmetic as the bag actually closes at the top with a zipper. The gold-tone chain shoulder strap is chunky and the interior is lined in coated linen with one slide pocket. $895.
