Here's a classic that you really can't go wrong with, especially over spring and summer: the Python and Croc Satchel from Nancy Gonzalez. Lee McQueen of fashion house Alexander McQueen was an outrageously expressive designer. He had an uncanny ability to push his creativity and transform clothing and accessories into works of art. One of our favorite McQueen pieces is the De-Manta Clutch from his Spring 2010 runway show. It's a combination of off-the-wall, eye popping color and jaw dropping patterns against an unexpected silhouette. The De-Manta Clutch is your statement bag to put all other bags to shame. I find myself mesmerized by it. I envision all the outfits and occasions I could possibly wear it to. However, the De-Manta Clutch has such a striking appearance, that you can easily incorporate this bold clutch with a simple outfit like jeans, a great fitting black v-neck t-shirt, and pumps - and with this one accessory, the entire outfit becomes a stand out.

$36,000 24-Karat Gold Fendi Bag, Handbag of the Day

Fendi has created a very flashy, very expensive, and very exclusive new bag to celebrate the opening of their most recent shop in the Crystals at MGM's CityCenter in Las Vegas, NV. The bag is a Trevi Fountain Peekaboo bag done in luxe python leather that's been dipped in 24-karat gold and carries a price tag of $36,000. Along with the golden version are a limited edition of 20 other bags that don't have the golden finish but do have a numbered gold logo plate on the inside and each sell for $4,550.

iPhone Tamara Runge

I'm not a big fan of snakeskin but for those that are the iPhone Tamara Runge Edition case is lovely, and very pricey, way to incorporate it into your daily wardrobe. Created as a collaboration between fashion designer Davide de Nizza and artist Stuart Hughes, the case is handmade of python leather with an 18k gold buckle that houses 35 0.5 carat flawless diamonds and a single 3 carat diamond in the center. It's made for the iPhone but looks like it could easily house a Blackberry or any number of other cell phone brands. Available in a limited edition of only 3 for £59,995 each.

Miu Miu Python Boots

Typically boots are made to keep you warm and protect you from the elements. But as we've been seeing, many boots have transformed into booties with pep toe accents and various cut outs resulting in a resemblance to high heeled sandals rather than boots. We are definitely not complaining and enjoy the many unique roads that fashion seems to take all of us on, but sometimes we come across a piece that makes us stop and wonder what was the inspiration? Take for example these knee high boots by Miu Miu. There is no shortage of details here with an adornment of Swarovski crystals on the heel, cutouts along the entire boot, a cream colored toe with purple & silver accents that make it seem as though a snake is emerging from your toes. And this is all against multicolored python. It is certainly an interesting interpretation on all the trends we have seen in recent years. Whether or not these are wearable is a different issue. The Devi Kroell Twist Bag in Waxed Python is a divine everyday bag for someone with a flair for the subtly unusual.

The overall shape of this Berry colored bag (it also comes in Coal and Black) is quite simple, but the second strap's twist is striking and graceful. At 15" x 6" x 26", this elegant handbag is large enough for work documents and sophisticated enough for the office -- but also interesting enough to bring along to brunch or dinner, as well.

There's something very harmonious about it.

Waxed python this fine looks great with everything (well, everything that also looks great; if you're wearing pink vinyl it can't solve your problems), and this Italian-made bag is an inspired example.

The Carlos Falchi Glazed Python Dr. Bag is by equal parts fabulous and dazzling.

It's like he took a basic black python bag and BeDazzled it. Like ... really, really well. We can't say this looks like a doctor-style bag to us, but we do love the shape. The gathers at the sides make it feminine enough to stand up to the great big appliquéd BeJewels.

Is it just us, or do the multiple shapes and the spacing remind you of Louis Vuitton? We're certainly not accusing Mr. Falchi of being unoriginal, but if LV did this with their signature shapes, the result would be outrageously awesome.

This perfect-for-the-holidays glazed python bag is a sensible 7"H x 13"W x 4"D; large enough for your stethoscope and your makeup.

Today's bag is featured in the Neiman Marcus Christmas Book. While the department store's annual holiday extravaganza is a bit more muted than it has been in previous years there are still plenty of glitzy treats. The Carlos Falchi tote from Neiman Marcus is python-embossed microfiber and measures 17"H x 17"W x 5"D. The handy tote has 10" shoulder handles and comes with a matching zip pouch for cosmetics and small items. The exclusive part is that Carlos agreed to hand sign each one. It comes in black, red or silver with a contrasting signature and sells for $220.

It doesn't come cheap -- this brown wild Indonesian python and rich Italian leather beauty will cost you almost $3,000. And sorry, Californians, as you probably know, python can't be shipped to you.

The bag has an easy elegance with its equestrian-style details atop its generous heap of python skin. We especially love the brassy-finished nickel hardware, making this bag appropriate with gold or silver jewelry.

This satchel would go just as well with jeans as an LBD (brown and black is okay this year), and at 9"H x 17 1/2"W x 4 1/2"D, it's large enough to take you from day to night with no trouble.

Look at the side buckles! We love this bag.

Carlos Falchi Oversized Python Clutch, Handbag of the Day

Here's a clutch that's a little different than what I normally pick out -- it's luxe and glamorous but in an edgier, more organic way. It's the Oversized Python Clutch by Carlos Falchi and it has a very tribal vibe with the multi-colored hands showing off their large rings of brightly colored jewel appliques. Thanks to its neutral color palette this bag will go with quite a few outfits, although it's a bold piece that probably shouldn't be paired with too many other patterns or you could end up looking way too 'busy.' $1,510

A woman can never have too many pretty black clutches I think, since they can easily be used season after season and with whatever dress is stylish at the moment. This Python Crystal Box Clutch by Ted Rossi appeals to my strange affinity for oversized faux jewels with clear and black Swarovski accents on black python leather.
